LA Clippers is it the coach ?
how are they winning ? not 1 player on their roster has any trade value. in 2023 philly couldn't even give harden away.
jazz raptors are on track for franchise worst seasons yet they have much more talent on paper. you can't tell me harden chucking shots, hyland and powell are a winning core.

Obviously Ty Lue is a proven coach, everyone would back him over most other coaches... that said we are clearly not playing to our strengths. We aren't playing to win these games and have been dealing with injuries.

james harden is out now too. not 1 player in the next game for them would fetch a 2nd round pick in a trade, except maybe powell.

powell, djj, zubac and dunn absolutely would. Then you have coffey, hland which you could make a case would as well. But even tho their roster isn't valuable trade wise (because of player ages etc), they are capable and have good coaching + trying to win. We are young, injured and playing for development. If we wanted to win a lot of these games we'd have scottie post up on mismatches etc. Next season don't be surprised if our records are similar.

Ty Lue is a good coach but they also have a team full of vets too. Not playing any young guys really helps too provided they still are productive players of course.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….

didn't know Zubac was playing that well this season. 9 seasons putting up 11/9 at best then he breaks out in his 10 season. and powell but how does he break out at 31 ?

110% on the coach. Maximizing every inch of his roster.
Imagine what a Thibodeau would do with a lineup of OG, Barnes, Siakam, Jakob: Top3 in the East, easy.
He had DiVincenzo thinking he was a superstar in the playoffs against the Pacers last year. That's what great coach do....then you got the Darkos of this world

Everyone is in their prime or exiting it. Reps, experience, knowing their skills and limiting mistakes they would have made when they were younger.
Dennis Schroeder and Jak are not world beaters. They're just old and experienced. Matters a lot more than raw, inexperienced talent on a play-by-play basis.

The answer is Norman Powell who’s playing like an all-star this year.

The guy we ended up trading for NOTHING is getting allstar consideration... that's a massive reason why

Harden is still a better playmaker and floor-raiser than anyone on the Raptors and Jazz. They surrounded him with defensive minded role players and Norm who excels at scoring without being the primary ball handler.

Harden is a MVP, ALL NBA, Hall of Famer, Powell is a Champion and well proven Playoff performer, Zubac is one of the better starting bigs in the league. The Key to their success is EXPERIENCE + Lue another well proven NBA Player and Champion Coach.
And no, neither Raptors or Jazz are more talented or better coached.

There team is playing for years together. Kwahi and George were often injured so they know how to play without them. Also Harden is still a great player.

Harden is still a good player, despite his age and the drama that surrounded him the last few years.
Ty is also a good coach.

Part of it is having veterans that know how to play the right way. Our team by contrast is constantly making mistakes due to lack of experience.

there's a reason why a lot of teams wanted tyronne lue
and there's a reason why clippers gave him a 5 yr/70M contract

Ty Lue is a REALLY good coach, I'm a big fan and hated it when the Clippers secured him.
Also the Clips are full of vets, they execute schemes, minimize mistakes and make the most of their talent.
Talent is always king in the NBA, but people will always underestimate the value of experienced players who are bought into a system.
