Does that mean we’re comfortable with losing our 2028 first rounder then? Without butler in lineup that’s the likely case

We were comfortable enough to lose our 2027 1st round pick for Scary

I'm sure FO does not have a problem with it.

Heat are 6-5 without Butler this season, that is good enough to make the playoffs. But If Herro is truly that guy like you want him to be then he should be able to lead them to the playoffs with Bam. If not then he is not that good.

Seriously, people making like the Heat suddenly scared of losing first round picks.

I'd pass on both deals because I can't imagine Miami having any interest in any player needing an extension (Kuminga, Ingram) or an overpaid role player (MPJ, Beal, Lavine, McCollum...etc). My main issue with the Houston trade is Miami gets smaller, and I do think Houston would need to add in a bit more for that to work for Miami. Houston is an optimal trading partner for Miami if they're simply posturing when they say they don't want to break up their core. Assuming that is the case, this would work:

Miami gets FVV, Cam Johnson, and D Brooks
    Houston gets Butler and Rozier
Brooklyn gets D Robinson, C Whitmore, and 2 1sts from Houston

My guess is Miami would love to pry Z Williamson from New Orleans or Durant from Phoenix, but these are very unlikely. More gettable targets are going to be Jerami Grant, Cam Johnson, Andrew Wiggins, Julius Randle, and perhaps Kyle Kuzma.

Some iterations I think could work with Memphis:

Miami gets: Cam Johnson and Marcus Smart
Memphis gets J Butler
Brooklyn gets: B Clarke, L Kennard, and 2 1sts from Memphis

Miami gets: J Grant and M Smart
Memphis gets: J Butler
Portland gets: B Clarke, L Kennard, and a 1st from Memphis + pick swap with Memphis

Some iterations I think could work with Golden St (requires a team willing to extend Kuminga):

Miami gets: A Wiggins, J Grant, G Payton II
Golden State gets: J Butler
Portland get: J Kuminga, D Robinson, K Anderson

Miami gets J Randle, A Wiggins, G Payton II
Golden St gets Butler
Minnesota gets: J Kuminga, K Anderson, D Robinson

His suspension last the whole road trip, he'll be eligible to play Jan 17 if he's still around.

Easy to imagine if they are the ones that made it a multibillion dollar org to begin with. Warren Buffet is 94 years old and still chairman and ceo of Berkshire Hathaway.

Fan boy wants to dismiss those facts & continue his tiring attacks on Riles. If Pat flips Jimmy for gold watch these same shmucks continue enjoy the fruits of his decisions.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

There comes a time when you don’t have it anymore and it’s time to step away. It’s been time, doesn’t matter what he did in the past everyone eventually becomes unable to perform their best. I’ll send you some tissues honey

You're breaking DayofMourning's heart not including Jabari (out 4 to 8 weeks with an injury now) in the trade

I think Houston would do a trade along those lines, but I doubt Miami would make that deal. Miami is going to want vets who can contribute to a playoff push, not scraps, picks, and projects.

In b4 he does a straight up swap for Beal because we’re “close” and “can still beat Boston”.

Jimmy Butler dyed his hair orange for the Suns, and then green for the money he wants.

Looks like Pat Riley just dyed his hair nutsack brown.

I still like the Warriors deal if we want to compete now.

Wiggins would be a fit here and become our POA guard defender. Shooting 40ish% from 3s this season too.

Well, sheit…your move, Jimmy.

I absolutely hate that this Heat era, which has been a relatively positive one, is coming to end like this.

Return to Miami Heat
