KAT and Mikal def should’ve gotten more shot attempts in the 4th.

This is garbage.

Some rando posted in the game thread -- and I'm going to c'n'p rather than fake quote

"A game like tonight… i don’t blame Thibs for the lack of bench… I don’t trust Cam, Deuce is out, Shamet I feel played enough, Precious was iffy tonight but played enough imo…. And nobody else on the bench deserves to be playing"

Wftf**king fu*k is that trash?

TyKo can't get 10 minutes - would on the Celtics (any of those rando skinny 8-10 on the roster guards, say PP). Hakpoorti can't get 7 minutes - would on the Celtics (Queta).

The coach is trash. End of story.

That was me you bum lol

TyKo cannot get min in a game like tonight… he can’t take the physicality yet… he would be turning the ball over bringing the ball up and he would be embarrassed defensively. I LOVE TyKo but he’s just not there yet, he will be because he’s insanely smart but he needs reps to be able to adjust.

Huki… okay sure, if anything I’ll give you that one, he can play a few min 2-3min to end the 1st and 3rd qt to get KAT a few minutes rest

But all night long I watched the Thunder hack and wack the Knicks in the paint between Brunson and KAT, getting no calls while some random Thunder scrubs go in the paint and get whistles off barely any contact. Where is the respect? Where is the fair officiating?

It's hard to watch the NBA sometimes man.

This. I rarely complain about refs... Unless it's a late game bad call that feels like it changed the outcome (rockets game last year)

The OKC whistle is ridiculous. They are a great defense they don't need help. But that's how it goes, same with teams like the rockets. Teams that have a rep for good defense get the benefit of the doubt and it's called "physical" but towns stands still while someone jumps into his chest and it's a foul. SGA bowls over JB and it's a block. It was extremely poorly called.

Facts. He'll be glued to the bench. That's why I said in the Around the NBA thread that I'm jealous off all these other teams developing their players. Even Minny got josh minott playing valuable mins. Boston played Neemias Queta 20+ mins last night.

I'm about to lower my expectations, already know the outcome smh.

I said during the game I'd waited 25 years for this team and now we have to fight the zebras, but you're right there is also the sinking feeling we won't have a playoff bench to support our gassed out starters.

We were great the first 3 quarters, but you can't win like this against the best teams. They played a full rotation. Where was Kolek? He's ready for this. Payne didn't do crap and Deuce is out, so get our best facilitator out there and give at least Brunson some rest. Brunson's end of game was a parade of tired mistakes. No reason for this to happen.

I'm feeling Godfather 2'd by this team. They pulled me back into heavy participation with a cool 9 game winning streak only to pull the rug out with Thibs emptying the tanks and running on fumes.

We may have the best starting 5 in the NBA right now, but it won't matter if we get nothing from our bench.

We walked the ball up after getting the lead. Very predictable garbage the clock was winding down every time.

Thank you Thibs! Play that bench before it gets too late. We need Kolek to play some minutes.

Fire thibs.

Offense looked crisp most of the game. Best I've seen all season I would say. Then it all fell apart.

The reality of it all is that us finishing strong was akin to asking a marathon runner to finish their event with a 10 second 100m pacing

I get that but to start the 4th was a lot of bench guys and the offense just crapped the bed with turnovers. It wasn't fatigue at that point.

Oh but some posters here would say that's not the issue... and in turn blaming the minutes police for nitpicking and playing the blame game.

A coach with very basic feel for the game knows fatigue is a huge factor, case in point Daignault playing 5 guys off the bench, minimum was 8 mins for Jay-Will, highest at 38 mins was J-Will. In contrast, ALL our starters hit 40+mins, and we played only 3 guys off the bench, the highest was 14 mins for SHAMET, who's just a few games in back from a significant injury... he's literally only played a few games as a Knick and ended up the guy with most mins off the bench, more than Precious and Cam, who've been on the team longer.

I don't care how brilliant of bball mind you're, you're an idiot if you don't address fatigue factor and too stubborn to change. Just fire this dude already, we're just gonna waste another season because he's too much of an idiot to change.

nyknicks09 wrote:Loss on Thibs. He needs to put JB on check. Too much hero ball.

We need to get JB going BUT as a floor general, he needed to know KAT at 17 pts was not cutting it, the team led by him needed to keep feeding KAT until he gets at least 25 - 30 pts. We can't win when JB does not have an efficient game, and KAT is only at 17pts.

Wayyy too much Brunson in the 4th, not nearly enough KAT.

Brunson is annoying af bringing the ball up he rarely cross mid court before 17sec left on the shot clock… questionable play from him down the stretch tonight but still LOVE him

Sucks to lose but we showed we can hang with them. Still proud and not putting my head down. We'll get there.

I hate to whine about officiating but I'm getting tired of ignoring it too...

The way KAT gets disrespected every night...

On one end KAT gets mauled and hardly gets calls. On the other end KAT breathes on a player and gets called for soft fouls. If it was consistent on both ends it is what it is, but it's not.

Brutal loss. Felt like the OG almost injury took the wind out of our sails. We get them again at home in a few weeks. Gotta take that one.

clearly Brunson isn't healthy.

We're a great team and showed that. I'm solid with the outcome. Which is surprising cause usually I overreact to negative things.

They gotta have a heart to heart with Brunson.

Same smoke people were giving Mikal, gave Randle, they need to sit down with him. It’s too many games he’s had this black hole mentality.

Since Thibs don’t know what a curl or down screen is. We have to look at finding an above average player off the bench that wants to score.
