This is garbage.

Some rando posted in the game thread -- and I'm going to c'n'p rather than fake quote

"A game like tonight… i don’t blame Thibs for the lack of bench… I don’t trust Cam, Deuce is out, Shamet I feel played enough, Precious was iffy tonight but played enough imo…. And nobody else on the bench deserves to be playing"

Wftf**king fu*k is that trash?

TyKo can't get 10 minutes - would on the Celtics (any of those rando skinny 8-10 on the roster guards, say PP). Hakpoorti can't get 7 minutes - would on the Celtics (Queta).

The coach is trash. End of story.

That was me you bum lol

TyKo cannot get min in a game like tonight… he can’t take the physicality yet… he would be turning the ball over bringing the ball up and he would be embarrassed defensively. I LOVE TyKo but he’s just not there yet, he will be because he’s insanely smart but he needs reps to be able to adjust.

Huki… okay sure, if anything I’ll give you that one, he can play a few min 2-3min to end the 1st and 3rd qt to get KAT a few minutes rest

love to you :D

and thanks for telling me I'm right. I know your original post was heat of the moment and you know I'm right that Thibs can't handle minutes.

kidding aside .. those 5/6 minutes that Hakpoorti could be giving KAT a little more rest are a bigger thing than it looks in the box score. Same thing with 3 minutes a half of TyKo (but ok, I'm not going to argue here whether those are realistic - I think they are, you maybe don't).

Blaming Thibs, but he had nothing to do with all those wins in a row before this. Silly talk

He thinks playing starters more than any other team is something like a cheat code. He thinks this way we can outscore other teams’ bench and that would be an advantage. And it works out well most of the time especially against inferior teams. Well guess what? There is always a breaking point and tonight was one. We needed a bench tonight to keep starters fresh. Instead, Thibs rode them harder than usual and we have this outcome.

Players will learn from tonight. Additionally, we should be able to figure out how to better take advantage of our most obvious mismatch (KAT).

Thibs’ main offensive gameplan?
“Play all my starters the whole game, go ahead, create”

Bro, they will go nowhere if they don’t PLAY A BENCH. YOU NEED BENCH PLAYERS, YOU CANT PLAY THE STARTING FIVE EACH 40+ MINS

Tough loss. Thunder locked us up in the 4th and the guys ran out of gas. Momentum completely swung during the minutes with our bench guys on the floor. Payne and precious looked completely overmatched. I get on Thibs a lot for not playing enough guys but what are you supposed to do when your bench players are overmatched? Don’t think it’s a coincidence we’ve seen a bunch of reporting about people in our front office saying our team is thin cuz it is.

They really picked us apart with guard guard PNR too. They went strong side with the guys Brunson and towns were guarding and they had no idea how to navigate those sets. Just got them in space and they got lost. This is the type of stuff that going to happen against all the good teams and they’re going to need to figure it out.
I'm apart of a Knicks podcast! You Should check it out!

Enough is Enough man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karl Anthony Townss is the best player on this team!!!!!!!!!!!!

And he needs to be featured as such!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one touched the ball other than Brunson in that 4thq!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were at our best playing through Bridges and Kat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enough of the Brunson ISOs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Preach Greenie!!!!!!!!!

My disgust in LaMelo leading JB in the All Star voting actually decreased after this game.

Next step in our evolution as a team is JB having no problem with KAT leading us in scoring. He barely looks KAT’s way in offense. It is very concerning!!!!!!

clearly Brunson isn't healthy.

We're a great team and showed that. I'm solid with the outcome. Which is surprising cause usually I overreact to negative things.

Your wisdom is on full display here!

Don't put that kinda pressure on me. I'll be back to being over emotional in tomorrow's gamethread.

He has everything to do with tonight’s loss though…
He’s not developed a bench 30+ games in
He continues to play guys 40+. Mins a night
He continues to spam drop coverage
He continues to show no offensive creativity to free up easy buckets/ plays

At least we lost a game like this against them in the regular season and not in the Finals. I think we can still beat them in a series. Coaching staff and Cap just need to be smarter.

I honestly didn't like the way Brunson just casually brought up the ball in the last few minutes of the game. We were down and it seemed like there was no sense of urgency. It reminded me of when Julius would run down the clock and other players were just standing around waiting for the drive into the paint. There was just no flow to keep the defense guessing. We're a very good team but at this point I don't see us taking out the top 3 or so elite teams in the league during a series. We need to find that next level and Thibs needs to get the bench involved.
