If only Thibs played Sims, Hukporti, Dadiet and Kolek, Knicks would have dominated

There's no turn against Brunson. Thibs's deficiencies have been plain since forever.

I rely on you to be smart or funny ... and usually both. :D

I didn't realize he took no threes. That is truly baffling

Guard Kat with a wing and put your center on hart has been a strategy a lot of teams go to.

Forces thibs uncreative offense to just try posting towns the whole game.

Our offense looked good for the majority of the game because the players were moving and looking for each other

But the shot distribution between Brunson and KAT was off. When we started to stagnate we did feed KAT a few times, but for the most part our offense benefits when he touches the ball and too often he does not

And it shouldn't be that hard to feed him for at least several threes

So we can enjoy being good but won't ever win sheet.

It’s almost like you need to give this guy an amazing NINE players who are all starter caliber, because he’s too afraid to play anyone

Outscored by 20 in the 4th quarter makes you happy? Alright.

You arent going to turn me, we outscpred em by 15 in the 2nd.

We got this just need to fix that bench **** and balance out the shots a little more in big games

Brunson getting healthy will help a lot too

I can't be mad about that game. It's clear we can hang with anyone. We looked crazy good in that 2nd. I feel better about the team tonight than I did before the game.

OKC developed their bench.

NYK have not developed their bench.

4th quarter it became iso hero ball.

We built the lead on unselfish team basketball.

Other players know it too. Remember Draymond saying we'll win a lot of regular season games because our starters play harder than the rest of the league under thibs. I just want us to think beyond the first 2 quarters...beyond the regular season. In intense games like this, our players will get fatigued mentally and physically in the 2nd half. Same when the playoffs come. This is just something the FO need to address. either get us depth that Thibs trust or have a talk with him.

No reason some posters hear Dennis Scott saying this exact same thing in real time as the game progress and think we're just tripping.

Not shocked but losing a 14 point lead is disappointing

I do wonder if they wind up moving Mitch for bench help before the trade deadline and address the backup center position in the offseason, we’ll find out in few weeks

Thunder did a good job at bottling towns up in the 4th. It’s as simple as that. Brunson also went 5/9 and he honestly missed a couple of floaters he usually makes.

Overall though, it was a good game. On to the next. Hope this was a turning point and we learn from this.

Like where is MB in the second half?

Why is Karl doing nothing but pounding it inside? No 3’s? A much more taxing way to play, on top of heavy minutes.

If you replace Thibs it may not work — probably doesn’t, because he gets your basement up. But he’s somewhat regularly somebody who can be out-coached.

Tough situation. He doesn’t trust his bench but that too feels like an old stodgy guy who doesn’t know how to take calculated risks.

Grant Hill was strongly implying it too, saying how shots were short in the 4th, that were dropping in first half. Guys like that know

Last year's Knicks had to play pretty perfectly to win. Especially two years ago Knicks.

This team can lapse against bad teams and win.

When they face the truly good top 3 or 4 teams and they aren't functioning at close to 100%, they lose.

Knicks aren't a top playoff team. They'll need luck. That's the bitter truth.

Yeah, he falls right into the trap, and then he decides not to post KAT when they don't have a center on the floor

We lost this game almost exactly the same way we lost the Rockets game, same strategy by them and then we just eventually run out of gas.

Yeah, you gotta feed the KAT down low. Especially since he's such a good passer out of the post.

8, 8 and 14 on bench minutes

Shocking and ridiculous
