We have a blueprint for success against his team. We should be able to get the W with a bit better execution when we rematch.

Mikal is looking so good, credit to him

Until Chet comes back then it’s back to the drawing board for us.

We’re over here trying to rest the hopes of the season on Mitchell Robinson giving us 10 mins a game when thibs has already messed up his own head just trying to get precious involved

Ok I’m done for the night, tough loss where we had a 4th quarter lead, it’ll be ok, there are a lot of teams in worse situations than us

Celtics win yet?
How many games back will the Knicks be after tomorrow's loss to the Bulls?

107 points. Super dynamic offensive output in today's NBA

Buttah304 wrote:Yes there are a million things we can point to. Having said that…how is it even possible that when a team traps Brunson with 2 wings we have one countermeasure: get Josh Hart the ball and he’ll dribble it for 6-7 seconds above the break and through no fault of his own our offensive possession becomes broken and stagnant. It’s truly unacceptable and other coaches are going to try and that in the playoffs yet again. Maybe it was understandable with previous iterations of Thibs teams but not when you trade for KAT and Mikal. Crossing your arms and being angry doesn’t count as an adjustment.

But also, building on your point but kind of separate, you can see they’re totally surprised by it. Someone in the huddle should have wondered why the Thunder didn’t call timeout after we went on a big run 2nd quarter.

Also they went hard down the lane because they knew we’d be tired.

But why are the Knicks surprised by the double? Thibs I think does not believe in foresight. The way Mike D’Antoni didn’t bother to prepare for the opponent. Thibs just thinks you worry about your team doing certain things and not strategy prep. That is my belief / guess.

Also arguably OG shouldn’t have stayed in. He did nothing good after the fall.

It's Precious but taller. And should knock Precious out of the rotation. Slight improvement

Everyone saying the bench sucks but where is the proof? Have we seen them play enough minutes to even judge them?

Have we seen them play alongside different starters? You know, staggering bench and starter minutes to find lineups that work? Why is it that “scrub of the night” exists for every team in the league except the Knicks?

Regardless, we had a 12-14 point lead and we lost it with the starters playing. Would we have lost it with the bench being involved? Maybe. But would the starters have been more rested to compete harder in the 4th? Also a possibility. We’ll never know.

We know we don’t have a great whistle. We know towns and Brunson are getting hammered all game long with no calls. Is that sustainable for 40 mins a night all season long? Thibs has no brain in his head. He hasn’t been any kind of basketball genius in over a decade. Times have changed

Gonna have to develop a few of the draftees to be somewhat productive bench players. I like how they use the Gleague, but Thibs is gonna have to give them a shot on this team eventually. We also have McCullar waiting in the wings. They have to get some minutes

Look at their bench players draft spots...mostly second rounders and a UFA.

They just know how to pick 'em.

Correct. The Knicks bench is ass.

I know you don't want to give them any excuses but to be fair, after 3 big trades in less than a year for the quality of players they acquired will deplete a bench and not leave much time to replenish it.

Not sure how the Knicks will fill it out from here on but coming into this season after all the moves made we all kinda knew the bench was going to be an issue, so being salty fans about it won't change that.

This isn't a one year window the Knicks have and after only 35 games of a newly formed starting unit this team battled the best in the league on their own floor with a historically elite defense down to the wire.

It stings to be up 8 going into the 4th and not finish the job but it is what it is, context matters though, too.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

The **** part is they have had a easy schedule, they have won comfortably a bunch of games, his inability to work some of the kids in to see what they have is shameful.

Knicks won 9 straight, 19-5 in their past 24 games and people are dumb enough to call for the coach to be replaced. Ridiculous. For those complaining about thibs bench minutes, thibs started the 4th with precious, payne, and shamet, and what happened? The game was completely turned around, if thibs played the bench more they probably lose by over 20, which brings me to my point, it’s not that thibs doesn’t want to use his bench, it’s the bench especially without deuce isn’t good enough.

Mikal and Josh are 1 and 2 in MPG now, and OG is 7th

Mikal is the only player in the league playing over 38mpg, and he's rapidly approaching 40mpg.
