Cade’s bucket was only the second basket DET max in the last 5.5 minutes, and the Wolves didn’t make up any ground.

It looks like MIN has made three baskets this quarter until those Ant 3’s.

30 rebounds to 14 is an absolute disgrace and is completely an effort issue. This team has no fight and it's an embarrassment.

I don’t know what’s worse, how badly we played in the first half, or knowing that there is a second half that could look like that. This game feels diseased.

Man, Ant scored majority of the points in the second quarter. Is this the type of game he wants? He's hot but the rest of the team is cold.

O
You say it all! This team lost everything with the trade. No more défense no hustle no rebound except Rudy….how to destroy a good team in 5 lessons by Tim Connell, soon on Amazon!

Feel sad for ANT the only one moving his ass tonight.

Cold? We have 37 shot attempts to their 51. We have 14 rebounds to their 30. Turnovers are 10-7 in their favor as well. Shooting isn’t our biggest problem. We are outshooting them from deep 10 to 6 and 41.7% to 33.3% and we have 9 free throws attempts to their 3.

doesn't have much choice

DET has good enough defenders to negate Randle
Rudy/MC/Jaden are non-threats

bench isn't hitting shots

I wouldn't worry to much. The Pistons are an exceedingly young team, and have had sizeable leads over many, many good teams this season, and end up losing.

It's their Achilles heal.

At this point I would just like to see us play 48 good minutes in a single game.

Time to bench Conley, McDaniels, Randle, and Gobert. It would be really hard for the guys on the bench to play worse.

The type of players that Okc and Det are building (archetype/stylistically) are the types of players Ant needs to play. A team full of guys who can get up and down, play aggressive on both ends and can shoot.

If you’re going to keep Ant as the number 1 then guys like Rudy, Randle, etc are going to have to go. Of course it can’t just be all athletes without IQ but that’s the way the team needs to trend.

Crazy how one trade just completely rocked the team. Curious to know what Connelly is thinking when he watches this team.

We have had worse teams for sure but I tell you, this is the most dull Wolves team I have watched. I used to watch all of our trash game and be entertained, now its just painfully dull.

Gobert sucks but I like the fact that at least we try to get him the ball. He needs to step it up. We haven't seen a great Gobert game for a while. Ant is carrying the team but can't understand that last 3pt shot before the half. Basketball IQ is still a work in progress. Conley's decline maybe the biggest impact of this season so far.

We got to stop the turnovers. That seems to be another Hallmark of the Finch team. I like what we done in the 1st qtr, ball just not bouncing our way. Hopefully 2nd qtr is the only power outage. We got to have some go to plays when things aren't working but we seem to run ourselves into deeper trouble by trying to play fast.

I feel for you buddy, because MIN has had that exact same problem for several years too.

MIN follows Ant’s lead. He gets up for top opponents, but slacks off on others, even in the playoffs last year. When everyone said MIN couldn’t beat PHX, they dominated them. When they then said they couldn’t beat the champs, they took the first three from DEN. When they changed and said MIN would beat DEN, they lost the next three, and only won Game 7 after getting way down. Finally, people started favoring the Wolves in the next series against DAL, and they lost.

As I said at the beginning of the thread, DET is a legitimate team. MIN needed to take them seriously. Even though they are young and make mistakes, they do what they can do and they play hard. I don’t root for other teams, but I am kind of happy to see the Pistons doing so well, after what their decent fanbase had to endure last year.

Halfway thru 3rd qtr, this team is mentally broken.

It's almost the halfway point in the season. The team is what it is. If moves aren't made very soon it's going to be a lost season.
