A game after losing to the Wizards, the Bulls hang 139 on Thibs. :-?

Can’t figure this team out one day they are the worst and then next they can beat anyone but hey I’m sure glad they beat the Knicks again on D Rose night. Good night for bulls fans.

Great game. One of the best second halves this year. Bad stretch where KAT was just feeding on them, but even better to stop it and pull out lead to near 20 again.

Coby and Zach both over 30! Nice.
Vuc another tremendous game, 22 and 12 ... with big time post buckets to stop the bleeding and get momentum back
Giddey spectacularly efficient game, and all-around impact (15/10/8 ... 5-10, and 3-3 from 3!)
Bench made positive contributions all night. Everyone positive +/- and balanced impact
Pat Will with a triple-5 game (5 points, 5 reb, 5 ast ... on 5 shots! ... yikes)

Let's play the if and but game.

If the Bulls had a real head coach who didn't let the Atlanta game get away from them, and had the team prepared to play against the worst team in the league, they would be 18-17 in a virtual tie for 5th with MIL and MIA.

But... they don't.

It feels like Vuc deserve an all-star spot. Some advantage to being in East. But he's pretty far and away the second best center in the conference.

He's actually near identical to most of KAT's stats. 55/44/83 for both of them. 3.3 assists exactly. Vuc 1.6 TO and KAT 2.5 TO.

Would be really cool for him to get the All-Star nod again, huge accomplishment on personal level to come back this year and go to work like this.

I broke down and got the app because I just couldn’t pull myself to miss D.Rose night.

While watching, Stacey gave Funk a very good synopsis of how this season has gone for the Bulls. They are playing with much more pace with the absence of DeMar (he wasn’t knocking DeMar at all though). With that faster pace has come more shot attempts and when those shots are falling, they can beat anybody. But the moment that they aren’t falling, they don’t play good enough defense to hang with most teams, let alone the good ones. That really does seem to be us in a nutshell.

Had a feeling they were gonna win. Team needing a bounce back after that bad Wizards loss, going up against a team finishing a 3-in-4 stretch, DRose night.

Way to get the win on Derrick Rose night

Welcome back Alex Jacoby White - we've missed you

At what point does Giddey take Pat's spot in the closing lineup?

I know LaVine's contract is large (though not in comparison to other players who have been traded), but come on man, 22 ppg with 64% TS% for a guard is rare. Worst case scenario we just keep a great scorer.

Wanted to see Julian Phillips try for the Derrick Rose reverse dunk on his breakaway, would have been amazing.

Williams was the only player with a negative +/- tonight, pretty impressive in a 13 point win where you played 35 minutes.

If we somehow become capable of winning against bad teams we could go on a run. Don't believe me - just look at how the Knicks have been able to take advantage of their easy December schedule:

Teams they've beat:
- Pelicans x2
- Magicx3 without Wagner or Banchero
- Hornets
- Raptors x2
- Timberwolves
- Spurs
Wizards x2
Jazz

it's great to go 13-2 in a month, but like, good lord that schedule. They lost to the Pistons and Hawks. They could have went 15-0 with that cupcake schedule. And probably should have.

Bulls are 16-19 with an upcoming schedule of:

vs Spurs
@ Pacers
vs Wizards
vs Kings
vs Pelicans
vs Hawks
vs Hornets
@ Trail Blazers

We have our own nice schedule coming up. Big question is can we take advantage of it.

Got to see the whole game courtside in VR. Nice to see that Thibs is slightly less intense on defense nowadays.

More 2 way guys and rim protection would be great too bad those guys are too green and reduced to being backups.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

The broadcast was so much better with Neil and Stacey rather than Stacey and Adam, it's not even close. I like Adam, I just don't like him with Stacey because they're too similar. Neil and Stacey are opposites and the broadcast benefits immensely from that.

Neil seemed like he didn't miss a beat. I wish he would un-retire or at least be the permanent fill-in when Adam is doing NFL games.

TY to the Bulls for not losing this game.

Rose was so damn fun to watch.

Oh and reading the Knicks PG thread, it took me back. That thread of them complaining about Thibs coaching reminded me the days when Thibs coaching the Bulls.

8 man rotation, starters still in with the game out of reach, on the second night of a b2b. Some things never change.
On the other hand they're 24-12
