No steph. No jk. No podz. No gp2. Vs the the 2nd best team in the west.
We played old school warriors ball.

Waiting to see how things go when Podz returns. Track record is that Kerr screws it up.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

What a win! The shooting is back but we’re getting such better shots as we’re playing smaller. All of our wings can shoot. Rotations shortened.

It’s really going to be podz and gp2. Podz shooting was trending up before he got hurt but he still wasn’t shooting when people were closing out. When podz and gp2 come back they have to be able to shoot.
Our wings right now can all shoot in buddy/waters/moody/ Wiggins

Yeah, but not just the shooting. Will Kerr keep the rotation short? Do we fumble away some winnable games working guys back in?

This team doesn't have talent? No. This team has talent. Nearly all the players on the roster are playable in the regular season.

Kerr said JK’s ankle injury is more than day to day.
23-43 from 3 and they win by 8 because big rebounding and in the paint deficit. Also second chance points. They really wanted to win because they lost to the Kings last night. Also of course the bad blood between these teams.
Grizzlies have a lot of good young players with length. They won’t be able to keep them all so they should look to poach.

Bad timing for jk, he was playing well.
We lose alot of iso scoring, but we get better defense and a better offensive fit. We will need wiggs, Schroeder, and heild to step up.

Kerr stated he wanted the rotation like this after the Sixers game, but if they are down 10 in the third, he would think about bringing in other players. My guess is Waters would be out for Podz. GPII would be in the same class as Looney and Slo-Mo as the understanding, team player veterans who would be willing to sit and come in when needed.

Fun game to be at, unexpected win. Of note in-person:
- havent heard the SF crowd this mad at refs in a long time. After the Schroder tech it was the worst
- sat a few rows behind announce team, but Fitz or Buke said something that had the whole row behind him laughing during the Warriors challenge
- see that JK's already been clocked as out for a significant time, so not breaking anything there. But his trip to the locker room looked painful, looked like his ankle got trapped and rolled, potentially significant sprain there. I'd be shocked to see him before deadline/ASB but young guys can heal pretty quick.. plus much harder to tell live than on TV. Hopefully it looked better there
As for the game -
Schroder looking much more comfortable in the system. Dont care about the hi/lo of shooting with him, that's who he is. But he is the best inside passer on the team by far and a quality defender. He chirps a LOT more than I thought he would too... still, he created some looks for players that no one else on the team can
Lindy shot extremely well, standing by the Damian Lee comp. He benefits a ton from ball movement where he's the end-game. Moody does too. Speaking of, was Moody hurt? He was on the bench in H2 but I dont recall seeing him go back in
At some point, Kerr has to start treating Hield like Klay right? Run plays specifically designed for him not to dribble or make decisions? Also still hilarious that he started despite struggling recently, just re-affirming that Kerr refuses to play him and Curry together for significant time is not only by design, it might be THE design. Like the #1 priority for him
Wiggins was pretty terrible in H1 and then amazingly awesome in H2
Dray has a ton of confidence in his shot now, great to see it. It offsets the drop in defense, he's making more mental mistakes than ever before
SloMo being benched was a terrible idea, a silver lining of the JK situation is that that decision will have to be undone. Looney still being benched is another terrible idea, as TJD looked worse to me in-person than on TV. I will say though, he's got some solid passing lane instincts at times
LaRavia was cooking the hell out of Lindy and Moody early on. Bane beat everyone with his 1st step. I never thought of those guys as especially quick, but Lindy/Moody/Wiggins made them look quick a lot of the game
