Question is: since km has zero value, do we have enough draft capital to just dump him and that awful player option for anything useful?

One one hand, it is very easy as a hamburger eating fan on this website to say "trade the guy" since most times you'll end up right at some point if you wait long enough.

On the other hand, we've seen this movie before with Michael Redd. You've got expensive guys who aren't going to get any better. And could get injured tomorrow and have their value plummet to nothing.

Dame has real value. Not at all what we paid for him, but enough to salvage something going forward. As we saw two years ago, the Nets fleeced the Suns for a declining Durant.

Sell Mortimer, Sell!

Moving Dame is really the only impactful trade the Bucks can make and I don’t see much downside since this team right now doesn’t look like a real contender. I’d definitely would pay Jimmy over Dame who just has 1 extra year on his supermax deal, were you guys planning on letting him walk? I know I sure af am not giving Dame another contract. Is there a better win now move than Jimmy? Realistically what’s the best return the Bucks could get for Dame?

I was watching a bucks podcast .... So many how and whys? it just hit me ... and it is possible true ...

The only reason that only makes sense on why we suck so bad is .....................................
....................................................................................................................
....................................................................................................................

cause noone wants to stay in Milwaukee any more

from top to bottom ... Giannis is excluded ....

Horst wants to go to the Pistons and get paid millions

Doc has a guaranteed contract and after a year maybe he wants to get fired and collect checks while joining ESPN again

Khris looks like he just wants to retire and do off court staff he loves. I think his love for basketball is over. Is he on to something like winery or something, I can't remember any off court habbits from this dude.

Brook needs to babysit and watch Disney movies with his wife and newborn kid

Portis still plays hard cause he is the champion who stll hasn't got a big contract. So he plays hard to get paid here or play somewhere else where he starts.

Lillard didn't want to come to Mil and he probably is thinking to get traded closer to his family. He lifted a Cup and the Cup banner is up there, so he probably is happy leaving now, cause he is like " at least I gave you a Cup".

AJ Green plays hard for his first big contract and he will get it.
AJAX plays hard to keep himself in the NBA
GTJ and T.Prince play hard for another bigger contract here or elsewhere

Pat C doesn't care about winning anymore, but he will try to not play terrible so he will not get traded. I heard he has some real estate business running in Mil.

And Giannis is on a turn right now ... he wants to be a good father right now more than a better player and win more rings.
His passion and love for the game was so huge that even if it has been regressed due to being a father , he stills gives max effort on court. Off court he is not focused on basketball as he once was.

To sum it up ... this squad was lucky to win the Cup and we were extremely lucky we won the Championship in 2021.
The boat sinks, too many holes and noone cares.

Here we are though, die hard Bucks fans trying to get some daily smiles and be proud for a team with players and coaches who already have checked off and most of them care about off court staff and money.

Well what if fans start to care about their money and empty the Fiserv Forum cause Bucks team possibly plays the worst basketball ever considering the gap between the talent and the performance? It is such an insane disappointment, players don't get the struggle they put their fans on, cause they live in their own rich - wealthy life bubble.

So my idea is

Pat C + Horst to the Pistons for a protected top 55 2nd round pick

It gets us under the 2nd appron

Try to take advantage of a chaotic situation in Sacramento and go all out for Fox.

ETA: one idea

Dame/GTJ/PC/‘31 FRP for Fox/Huerter/Len

Take on Huerter’s bigger deal and mortgage our last chip but gets us under the second apron.

Maybe trade for Kawhi? It seems desperate, but if he is ready for the playoffs, Giannis Kawhi should be pertty unstopable. He provides defense that we need and shooting that we would give up. Has a relationship with Doc?

I’d prefer Butler over Kawhi if we’re actually going in the direction of last leg superstar acquisition. Butler is at least known to play through injuries. Kawhi’s team will have him shut down for the season 3 days before the playoffs start if he has lingering pains. I don’t trust Kawhi at all at this point.

Bucks : Tim Hardaway Jr and a 1st
Pistons : Khris and Horst
We get under 2nd appron and a pick.

Horst is worth a 1st by himself, get it done Horst ... trade yourself to the Pistons

Maybe trade our '31 1st with a nearer Pistons 1st , our time is now, we have no future

Ok let’s say this is the move: what ‘Mat Ishbia blows his wad on KD’ scenarios could we imagine there are for Dame?

Vivek is the easy answer. Rich Paul could be amenable to Fox pairing with Giannis but Keegan Murray coming with is the dream.

Those salaries would works straight up under the cap which is no small feat in the 2nd apron era.

But Kings are 3 of 4 since Christie took over…so maybe even this scenario is just a dream:

Jrue Holiday or Jimmy Butler have played in 4 of the last 5 NBA Finals. Almost 5 for 5 with the Heat losing game 7 of the ECF in 2002.

And Jrue Holiday & Jimmy Butler were a very large reason WHY those teams were in the NBA Finals.

Then why were you in favor of a Jrue for Dame trade?

cause he went 1/8 on 3s against the Celtics ... AND THEY WERE WIDE OPEN ...
Boston let Jrue all alone in the 3pt line and he choked.

Bucks can't trade Dame for Jimmy straight up and they can't aggregate salaries so they need to unload some salary first. So you're probably look at the very least a 2nd to get rid of Pat's salary but most likely a first.

But then you create the Gary Payton situation where you are trading for a guy that is a free agent at the end of the season and doesn't want to be in Milwaukee so he leaves without getting anything in return.

Or you could give him a big contract and hope that he doesn't blow up your team during the duration of the contract.

The biggest thing is that Jimmy Butler isn't making Brook run faster, Bobby a better defender, or turning Middleton back into prime 2021 Middleton.

The Pistons have their new GM, unfortunately Horst isn't going anywhere. Also, THJ is awful.

Yes, but it could also be part of the same deal. As long as we under when the deal is complete.

The Lakers are the team to fleece. Austin Reaves is just coming into his prime, improved every year, and is hyper focused. Doesn't party, brings effort every day. We get more in the deal, we could probably pull in Cam Johnson with the draft compensation we'd get.

Neither is Dame but Jimmy is a two way player and known playoff riser who can be a hardnosed tough switchable defender and ball moving 3 level scorer. Going all in on defense is the way to go and only way
this team will ever have a chance with its archaic offense.
