The broadcast was so much better with Neil and Stacey rather than Stacey and Adam, it's not even close. I like Adam, I just don't like him with Stacey because they're too similar. Neil and Stacey are opposites and the broadcast benefits immensely from that.

Neil seemed like he didn't miss a beat. I wish he would un-retire or at least be the permanent fill-in when Adam is doing NFL games.

Funk is 78. Let the man enjoy his retirement! Practically speaking, he lives in Florida, so it’s probably a lot easier to let Schanowski handle the fill-in, since he’s local. Schanowski is pretty good, too, IMO.

Glad the team could pull out a win on Rose night.

Rose was so damn fun to watch.

Oh and reading the Knicks PG thread, it took me back. That thread of them complaining about Thibs coaching reminded me the days when Thibs coaching the Bulls.

8 man rotation, starters still in with the game out of reach, on the second night of a b2b. Some things never change.
On the other hand they're 24-12

If it keeps up though, they’re not gonna have anything left in the tank by April. NYK have ALL 5 of their starters in the top 12 of total minutes played in the entire league. And also we got KAT having to leave the game injured while the game was already out of reach… on a Derrick Rose night nonetheless. Man.

But it’s hilarious reading their PG thread being envious that Billy’s running an 11-man rotation including our rookie.

Sounding like a broken record but not much to take from a win against a team on the road on the 2nd of a B2B, Knicks were clearly gassed after a tough OKC loss. Anyway a fun game to watch with our 3's falling...and sure we take a lot, but I do think that if you get used to taking more (not stupid) 3's, you get more ready/comfortable in taking them and your % goes up. On my point about stupid 3's, Pat and Coby take too many unnecessary step backs, which hurt accuracy.

I liked our defensive effort from Ball, Giddey, and Smith. Giddey had a nice all around game. His rebounds are no accident. He's puts in real effort and has a good knack.

Fun game, great atmosphere. Loved having Funk back, sounded better than ever.

NBA did us a huge favor with the schedule, almost guaranteed a W for us, I will take it.

Watching all the DRose stuff brought back so many great memories, how do we get back to being relevant?

Rare Bulls win on a big night, tributes or ring nights have been less than stellar. God news the fans in attendance weren't complete jerks at any time like when they booed Jerry Krause and made an old widow cry. T-short cannon blast to the face for those people should still be an option.

Knicks really fell in their soup in the 3rd, lots of iso and bad shooting, boo hoo to Spike. Bulls got big games from Coby and Zach but kept moving the ball for the 30+ assists that they need to win. Lonzo doesn't rack up stats to impress some people but he really makes a difference for the Bulls. Not many teams have their PF guard the PG Brunson, the C KAT, the SF Bridges and even the PF Annouby at times.

I will say Coby teammates have looked to him to shoot the ball all year like he does this regular in practice.

I guess it takes a while to translate to the act game

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

However, I've reconsidered. There hasn't been a retired jersey in a generation and it doesn't look like there is a currently rostered player who would be likely to earn it. For a lot of fans that were too young to enjoy the dynasty, the Derrick Rose era is very special. There is really no downside to retiring it and would be a nice touch by the franchise.

It seems like they aren't going to do it, though, right? Are these things ever surprises? I don't recall that.

Yeah, it’s good to see that Rose will get his jersey retired. I also think Joakim Noah should be added to the ring on honor. I still think it’s crazy that Toni Kukoc made the ring and Noah didn’t.

Kukoc was a key player on 3 championship teams. Noah will get there eventually.

Kukoc was a bench player who played with Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman.

Noah was 4th in MVP voting when he played with Dunleavy, Gibson, and Hinrich. We saw how well Kukoc did without another all-star in 1999.

Noah made all-NBA teams, all-defensive teams, and all-star teams with the Bulls. Kukoc never did.

Noah is 4th all time in Chicago Bulls VORP.

Kukoc has playoff highlights but so does Noah. The steal and dunk over Paul Pierce. Game 7 against Brooklyn.

Rose’s final line about being a business man seemed out of nowhere. Dude - everyone’s there to celebrate your great basketball peak. I guess he was never one with words. Seems really happy to leave basketball. Can’t blame him with all the setbacks.

Kudos to him for making a solid 2nd half career in the NBA. Especially as an injury prone small scoring guard. Most might be underestimating just how difficult that was. Most guys in that position ended in China. Required some serious calibration. Probably helped a ton that Thibs helped carve that role.

I have to say the way Coby is playing lately is driving me crazy. Couldn't watch a ton of the game but some of his turnovers are mind numbing. And his shot selection is crazy.

I'm still not sure what the Bulls are trying to accomplish this season. But if they are trying to win, maybe using Coby as the sixth man scorer off the bench makes most sense.
