MLF panicked not sure whether to kick or go for it and did the absolutely only thing you don't want to do in stopping the clock.

He's so good that he has made you think the talent on this team isn't very average. We are constantly playing over our heads with MLF, he's awesome but seems to be falling out of favor with our spoiled bunch.

Is that you Mrs. Lafleur

There will come a time where we are like the Bears and we will beg for a coach like MLF. It's just how these things work

What? He just called a TO when we need to burn time. Then he stood there and watched as his boy put our defense in prevent when we needed to prevent a first down.
Do you not understand football?

MLF would make a great OC but he's butter soft as a head coach.

Packer fans doing the Bud thing with MLF. “Grass is greener” syndrome is a hell of a drug.

MLF's game management is continually abysmal, and he's one of the biggest play calling cowards in the league.

Jacobs is reflective of the attitude itself. Love may have played if we cared that much. He was still suited. I think this was the 1st meaningful action for Oladapo. If we didn't take it that seriously, don't know why they would. It's cost-benefit.

Yep. He's always been too conservative in big situations, but he's really shriveled up this year. And there's no reason to. This team isn't good enough to play it safe constantly.

MLF is awesome coach for like 95% of things including game action. Unfortunately he's panicky and ultra conservative generally and especially in tight moments. That 5% is often the difference and magnified in big games.

Would be extremely dumb to fire him but they need a dedicated guy on the sidelines whose sole job is preventing him from doing dumb stuff like calling that TO.

Now we have to hear Bears fans delusion x10 this offseason that we gave them a gift to finish the season with. As if it wasn't already going to be annoying online.

MLF is a good coach overall, but your biggest flaw can't be losing your brain under pressure. His judgement get clouded by his emotions, and this team reflects his nervous skittish energy.

It was amazing because the only things you don't want to happen are for a receiver to get behind your defense for a TD,have them get to the sideline or give them 12-15 yards where they still have a chance to spike it. All out blitz where they don't have time to beat us deep and Williams' propensity to panic or protect the sideline and sit about 10 yards back. They aren't going to try for 20+ yards because they know they aren't going to have time to spike it. Every single thing about that was horrible.

Being a HC in the modern NFL is literally just being an OC, no? He's awesome, team wins and the talent is young and not very good yet. It's simple as "dont know how good you have it till its gone" or "grass isnt always greener", it's just fickle fan stuff and that's human but it's all silly when you take a step back. It was bad coaching at the end of the game but the game didn't matter and **** being reactionary vs. years of success

You're giving them too much credit. They played everyone they could (within reason), even suiting up Watson. If they wanted to take this game off, you would have seen Willis and Wilson/Brooks from the first snap, no McKinney, no Nixon (their only decent corner right now), no Jacobs, no Kraft, no Reed, no Wicks, no Cooper, no Gary, etc. They clearly played to win this game and didn't. Easily could be 0-6 against the division.

I was only upset because WAS was losing when we lost. But WAS wins so it didn’t matter. Bears drop a few draft slots and GB gains a few slots if we lost first round.

This game and going 1-5 (a blocked kick away from 0-6) in division don’t matter for the rest of this season. They need to elevate their play in a lot of ways: two-min defense, special teams, holding onto the ball, precise routes.

They’ve improved their red zone offense, offsides penalties, and FG kicking over the last couple months.

Next year, they need to devote more time prepping division games.

The fact that he admits this though means he’s aware and can try to adjust. I don’t think he’s dumb or intentional with these miscues. And yes, he’s been more successful in the regular season than 95% of the HC’s out there and he’s gotta develop an edge or something. Team doesn’t have the X factor or killer instinct, whatever you want to call it and that attitude comes from the top down.

Now, will he actually learn from this loss, who knows?
