Honestly... At this point I'd be surprised if Ant didn't ask for a trade.

Could be. If the FO don't make a trade soon, it may happen.
Actually if i was Rudy or Mike , i would ask for trade. Looking at the Randle+ ANT show is nothing neat any fun. Lucky ANT seems to be a good guy of the court ( at least until his last comments), if not, locker room would have implode already.

Way too soon for that. Ant asking out now taints him. He will wait at least a year or two.

Agree, the team is still .500. It would be basically every player who is not winning asking for a trade. What about Zack, Fox, Sabonis, Durant, Booker, Maxey, LaMelo, ...? I really feel just put Randle on the bench would improve a lot. Also, we would switch coach first.

Rudy can't be traded until the offseason.

LOL, yeah Mike could probably be traded, but Rudy?

Dude is having the worst year he's had since he's become a starter and is showing his decline, with that 3 year extension he's going to become a pretty untouchable contract.

None of those players are on a team where the GM traded their second best player and the team absolutely collapsed from where it was the previous year. All of those teams are performing exactly as they have been. SAC might be the exception but atleast their GM still has moves he can pull to make the team better.

We on the other hand are absolutely ****. This what it's going to be for the next *checks calendar* three years at the minimum and six years before we have all of our assets back. Even if he does have the willpower to focus on just getting better with this **** offense and no talent teammates, we're not sniffing a ring for a long time.

I'll say it again. We need to blow it up. If I was Ant I would have been told by my agent to get the hell out of Minnesota because they are destroying my brand. And I'm sure other agents are telling their players to stay away too. Naz only stayed because he likes it here. He probably doesn't feel the same way anymore. Even in 2K its hard as hell to keep someone's moral up when you trade for a player in their position lol

Blow it up doesn’t work when you don’t control your picks. Also it is way too early to hit that panic button.

It's not like the whole roster needs to be reset. We just need to be willing to move off a few players that some people really like in addition to Randle. And we might have to lose a couple of trades even though by losing we eventually win. I do think the biggest change may have to be with the head coach if he's not able to get some structure and discipline on the team.

How about

Detroit MN
Joe Harris> Rudy
Ausar Thompson> Kyle
Morris or Ivey> Minott
Galli
Detroit gets a real Center and we get a new PG and prospect (Ausar) with actual potential.

Lkers/MN
Wendell Moore Jr. for Jackson Hayes

CHI/ MN
Drummond J Mac
backup C

then Sign Porter Jr.

Mike/Morris or Ivey/Naw
Ant/Porter/Naw/Harris
Jaden/Ausar Thompson/Brown
Naz/Galli/Miller
Kat/Andre/Hayes

Rudy is worth way more than this.

Worth more than getting a starting PG a high ceiling rookie and cap room?

That would have been a great trade. I even like Ausar Thompson more than Jaden right now.

Unfortunately I think that it lay be too late thanks to TC. I've always thought about the point of every move. where will the team be in a couple of years if it doesn't mean championship. Now here we are doubling down on bad moves and the a guy who's making the moves is not really committed to the organization. Kat should have been moved for picks and potential stars period. Now we wont get much back for the players we have because we aren't a winning team and the players are losing value because TC made that bad trade. We are the next bottom feeding team after this season.

Ant actually had a terrific game from a decision-making standpoint. But his teammates absolutely tanked him.

Can The Wolves Help Anthony Edwards?

And we are back to chicken and egg. If guys don’t shoot much and spend a ton of time standing around they get cold and disinterested. Then, you task them with making shots and they struggle. When the ball moves and everyone is engaged things tend to go better. That is why the bench mob does so well when Ant sits. First is was with Mike and Rudy, then with Randle and Minott. Play the right way you get better results.

Sorry man but this is a bad take. Good players will have interest from multiple teams which will raise the value. Ant has no leg to stand on demanding a trade on a bad Ant season right after going to the WCF. Don’t forget Ant has been in the post season every season following his rookie year. He cannot both demand a trade and protect his rep and he clearly cares about his rep. One good trade off Randle and a promotion for Naz fixes a lot of our problems. Also remember we have a ton of young talent that could develop. Minott and Dilly have shown flashes, TSJ has at least 8 years of control and Miller/Clark both show interesting signs in the G. Oh, and we just added Newton who could make a decent PG2 in the future. We are also 17-17 far from doomed.

Its not just the missed shots, its the horrible decision making from everyone else. Love Randle refusing the easy lob to Rudy in favor of pounding the ball and eventually firing a pass at his hip...

Naw or DD probably going to need to be traded
McDaniels may need to be traded
Naz may need to be traded
Dillingham may need to be traded.
But all of them don't need to be.
Conley and Gobert need to be traded this summer.

Again, you don't have to trade all of them, but if you want to change some things, without blowing it all up, you can do so. I.E. Could you get a Dejuante Murray for Randle? Would Naz and Murray score enough if you did?

Assuming Randle lands you a starting PG, what could NAW, Reid, or McDaniels get you?

What's Dillinghams value? Is he flippable?

As far as the coaching comment, I think Finch is just going to have to move off of the free flowing type of offense and actually instill a set type of offense. Make it simpler, define positions and roles, and then maximize them. If you can't do it, then it's time to bring someone else in. Don't ask me who, I have no idea who's available or anything else right now.

You make a point. Actually i'm still not convinced about players regress or slowing down. I may be naive but still think a large part of the issue is the fitting after KAT trade. It's just impossible to be efficient when you play with 2 guys who don't pass the ball. You don't get movement, you're getting cold when you finally see the ball..i may be the only one but i still thinking that this can be fixed just by trading Randle.
