CHI - SAC

Post#1 » by bpcox05 » Mon Jan 6, 2025 3:17 am

—————————

CHI GETS: Kevin Huerter, Orlando Robinson, & 2029 SAC 2nd
CHI GIVES: Jalen Smith & Jevon Carter
WHY FOR CHI? The Bulls sell off one of their backups (Smith) for a future 2nd round pick as well as a bench wing who can help space the floor.

PG - White / Dosonmu / Ball
SG - Lavine / Terry / Horton-Tucker
SF - Giddey / Huerter / Phillips
PF - Williams / Buzelis / Craig
C - Vucevic / Robinson

—————————

SAC Gets: Jalen Smith & Jevon Carter
SAC Gives: Kevin Huerter, Orlando Robinson, & 2029 SAC 2nd
Why for SAC? The Kings have a log jam at the guard spot now that Carter is back healthy. They move Huerter for some more frontcourt help. Smith gives them some more size & length while being able to space the floor adequately and help protect the rim.

PG - Fox / Monk / McLaughlin / Carter
SG - Ellis / Carter / Jones
SF - DeRozan / Crowder / McDermott
PF - Murray / Lyles
C - Sabonis / Smith / Len

Just dumping Huerter would cost more than a single SRP, so getting Jalen Smith (who has shown some promise) on top of that makes this a lopsided trade in the Kings favor.

bulls can probably get expiring and 2nd(s) for smith if they were really looking to sell, so OP is short on value for the bulls (huerter is negative). As it stands they are much more likely to trade vuc than smith

The Bulls wouldn't touch this with 2 10 foot poles. Do you watch anybody but SAC?

Smith is 5 fold better than Robinson so forget that.

The Bulls jut swap Huerter for Carter who almost never plays

Lavine
White
Giddey
Ball
Dosunmu
Huerter
THT
Duarte

when do you start seeing that they have too many guards?
they have begin playing Ball over Giddey for defense to finish games

A positive value one (Chicago) for a negative value one (Sacramento).

No, like how much value do you think that Chicago package holds?

Enough to get something that helps and is useful for Chicago.

Do you have any semblance of an example that would be around the value you’re looking for?

A team would have to overpay for Smith with a 1st, he has more value to Chicago than teams trading for him.
