You mean when they are out there with 2 or 3 other starters? Yeah sure I get why they might be positive in net rating but individually they stink and the more they play the worse they are that’s why they don’t play. We have the worst bench production in the league especially without Deuce.

And we have one of the best starting 5s when they're fresh. Our ORTG/DRTG both fall off a cliff in the 4th quarter of games, mainly because the starting 5 is tired. We have a top 10 defense for the first 3 quarters of the game and the 27th ranked defense in the 4th, that is solely because of fatigue. Whether the bench sucks or not is really irrelevant, they absolutely have to play just so the starters have more gas in the tank.

So whether we win or lose is irrelevant, what matters is ortg and drtg? The bench playing more equals more losses. I rather watch the starters and give ourselves a chance to win than watch us lose games with that crappy bench

The bench is net positive on the season, they can keep a game close. What matters is making it to the playoffs whole and healthy, that is the only thing that matters and the bench will help that much more than playing guys 40+mpg every other night.

Was he not fouled?

No way he airballs from 5ft

I didn’t see the foul but even prior to the shot it was just everyone standing around, hot potato ball

zero effort all game from the big dogs.

And let’s talk about the elephant in the room. Younger more athletic teams give us trouble. We have to develop a young energetic bench. This effort is insane… I hardly see us give effort defensively much this season. We can hit another level if we actually don’t let 1 pick, pick us apart. It’s embarrassing…

If we go down double digits Thibs shouldn't be allowed to finish the game. Just escort the man out of the building.

That and teams that switch make the offense completely shut down

Getting out hustled this whole game and it's not like the magic look super energetic. They just do in comparison to the Knicks that look stuck in the mud.
