Not saying it's realistic, but we could send out, in a multi team deal: Lopez, Portis, Pat, AJ Johnson, Marjon, and 1 of the 3 vet minimum players (but only 1 is allowed) Livingston and Smith to get Butler. We could take back a bunch of vets on minimum contracts in this deal using the minimum salary exception. This is the kind of fun I have.

If the Bucks traded Middleton with Brook/Bobby & the '31 1st for Butler, they'd pretty much have to trade AJ Johnson &/or Tyler Smith to get a viable 3rd (athletic) big. Cuz I don't know what else we have to offer at that point.

IDGAF about conceding Smith, but it'd be begrudging when it comes to Johnson. It would have to be an Okongwu-level 1 then.

They'd also still be thin in terms of shot creators beyond the big 3, unless they did 1 rook for the big, the other for the shot creator. Jimmy would cover the big wing spot. Then you're all in.

If they didn't bail on Lillard during the season too, would have to after before his value expires. Maybe would lose Jimmy if he's not extended for a couple yrs during this season. It's very dicey and could go very bad.

Most likely, the Bucks are sniffing around the Jimmy deal to get involved just as a 3rd team for some smaller pieces.

I, however, will continue to dream that were trying to do a Dame to Miami, Jimmy to the Lakers, and every undervalued player in the league to the Bucks.

And we'd have one less title probably.

I dont see it that way. Lets look back for sec. 5 solid years around the same core. They made a big move last year and it simply has not worked out. I think what they do going forward will determine if they fall into that zone.

I'm all in on Jimmy... Don't really care who we trade outside of Giannis

I don’t want a Dame for Jimmy unless we’re getting other assets back like Tari Eason. And then we have a hole at PG

But Gambo is a prophet. That guy is wired into his team the Suns, better than any local beat guy in the league. If the Suns are feeding him that Milwaukee is in the mix, it means Milwaukee is in the mix.

Jimmy would be coming to Milwaukee with a colossal chip on his shoulder.

If he wins a ring his legacy would be dramatically different too.

Gambo’s track record makes me believe we’re talking about it at least.

This is why I’d do it. I mean, we’re cooked anyways and watching two borderline psycho level competitors who play better when pissed off and have another gear in the playoffs would be super fun

At least we’d give effort and go down swinging.

Reminder: the Bucks wanted to trade Khris a year and a half of injuries ago for Beal.

I find it hard to believe we’d be stupid enough to trade Midds for Beal. He’s just as injury prone, is on a worse contract and is a worse player. The unholy trinity of shiteness.

100% believe we would have traded Midds for Beal and thank god we didn’t. Unlike the guy we ended up with, dude is cooked as any sort of core guy on a championship contender.

I bring up Beal because I don’t think we’d hesitate to trade Khris if the right opportunity presents itself.

But I also don’t discount MD saying Beal’s full of **** if anyone else has heard that too?

Either way the 2031 first is substantial for us as well as the potential Phoenix Suns level cap hell we could end up in if we’d be keeping Dame and extending Butler.

Jimmy comes in with the right attitude though…playoff rotation could be filthy:

PG: Dame
SG: Green, Ajax, GTJ
SF: Jimmy
PF: Giannis, Prince
C: Brook

I ridiculed him on Twitter when he thought Adrian Griffin to the Bucks had serious legs, only to be called out when he was spot on. He has legit sources.

Midds would be happy to go to Miami for all of the clurbs.

Notable he doesn’t seem to think Dame would be involved:

I agree with you. It should be Mids. Jimmy has been the better player overall and if don't workout then that salary spot opens up. Right?

I’m not sure the Bucks will be a free agent hot spot having traded Midds and letting Jimmy subsequently walk.

I think that people get a little c

I think its a little silly that people rail on Mids so much. Not his fault that his body just didn't allow him play at a high level anymore. But I do think its time to move on.
