I got Tired of Persona 5, but this is def on a whole nother level from that game.

Peak.

Genuinely, they've really stepped up on the fight animations since the start of Egghead. It still has a lot of the same pacing issues, but even the non-Gear 5 fights it feels like they're putting 100% into it. It's really glaring sometimes though, like the Sabo chase scene a couple episodes back was just absurd lol. Definitely want the WIT adaptation to be good enough to get through the whole thing, even if it'd take like a decade.

Anime is taking a break for the next 6 months after this episode, they're releasing a re-edited Fishman Island arc to fill the time. Honestly, good thing, this might be the move for them. Take breaks and re-edit old arcs to pick up their pacing as well as give Oda time to get more chapters out. Just should lead to higher quality product overall.

Peach Momoko, the writer and illustrator of Ultimate X-Men, drew that cover

She is one of the best artists I've ever seen in the industry and she's managing a huge monthly title that is groundbreaking for Marvel.

I seriously hope Marvel is paying her well. Because her work is going to be adapted into film and animation, it's not a matter of if.

Toei has enough resources to produce 24 high quality episodes of One Piece every 12 months.

It's time. No more perpetual weekly anime series.

Bleach: TYBW has really hit it's stride, DragonBall Daima looks incredible. One Piece deserves the same treatment.

Alright I finally finished the 6th season of Peaky Blinders. Does this belong in the Nerdy thread? No idea.

Anyway, glad that MHA is almost ready for me to binge. Already have the sense that the ending isn't great, which sucks because I feel like it's the spiritual successor to all the animes before (although Bleach and Naruto flubbed the ending imo).

I made the decision to just buy Veilguard and get in front of a game for once. I love Origins (bullsh*t that it's literally unplayable on modern computers and I'm too lazy to look up the workaround lol), but I never finished 2 or Inquisition. Usually I'd at least have played Inquisition first, but I decided to just take the plunge

Also, been playing Metaphor Re:Fantazio, and I gotta say, it's fun and all but I just wish there were more of it. No spoilers, but it just feels like the parts of the game where you're railroaded into doing certain actions takes too long, and I'm just sitting there waiting to get back to the regular cycle of dungeon crawling. Plus, they try to break it up with fights, but they're all not that challenging because you don't have to worry about mp management, so you just hit the enemy with all your big attacks until it goes down, as opposed to having to ration resources.

Spoiler:
I started playing it. I think they capture that dragon age feeling well, the fighting and action seem fun, and it feels like mass effect in battle. I don’t use my teammates in battle like I did in mass effect though.

I’m not far enough to make a judgement about the story but it feels rushed so far. The skills level up thing seems confusing…maybe I just need to be patient.

Haven't watched, I found season 1 too depressing. Is Season 2 a direct sequel?
