That's really one of the most surprising schedule loss wins I can remember. This team really got so much heart and fight.

Jett is looking much more promising lately. Prob WCJ best game for a year and a half. Its why we all get so frustrated with him and JI, its cos we have seen them be good starters in the league before so we know they have it in them. If this game is the JI/WCJ/Cole we can get consistently with P5 and Franz returning, then **** we will be tough to beat. Really tough

When Orlando finishes as the 4-seed and New York the 5, we will look back on this high-quality win as to "why".

Wow what a win. How do our boys do it? We should rightfully be losing.

My guess is chemistry has bubbled up over the last few years and for once unexpectedly players are seizing their chance. Goga is the no 1 example, but last night you could see everyone attempt to step up a little bit. Even Black coming back from injury "tried".

Amazing how different things looked when you actually make 3s and the other team bricks everything. Of course there was more to this game, we exploited the Knicks' lack of size very well, especially early on, and did a great job defending Brunson, but WCJ and KCP actually hitting 3s, and momentum swinging ones too, makes such a difference. I am really glad Wendell looked great in this one, we really need him to get going, with Mo out and the bench so lacking in offense He has to play with more confidence and hit 3s more regularly. Isaac looked much better too.

Hopefully this game help convince some team to take Cole off our hands, I hate his playing style even on his good nights.

Would this version of the team finish .500 or around it? Crazy to think. They just keep finding a way to win just enough games. Maybe some people will understand now why defensive culture is important. All I heard since Vuc days is how defense doesn't matter anymore.

Box score thoughts: yes the Magic won the FG% battle to win the game, but there is a much more interesting feature stat line. One that makes coach smile.

Orlando had more rebounds, more steals and more blocks, and less TOs.

The Magic dominated the effort stats. WOW

“Playing 48 minutes, you’re getting screened, you’re getting hit. We’re pushing the pace, all those are factors, and once we see you get tired, we’ve done our job. Now it’s time for us to get [the offense] going,” Caldwell-Pope told The News. “We’re one of the most well-conditioned teams in the league. We thrive on that. This was a back-to-back for us, and no one looked tired.”

8-) 8-)

big reason why this team crushes their opponents in the 4th quarters. Currently they're #1 in Netrating in the 4th quarter, well ahead of the second place team.

I missed the game, just watched a replay and wow

Incredible resilience from our team. This was as much of a scheduled loss as possible. Missing our top 4 scorers and lost to the Jazz the nite before.

You really cant count our team out

AB coming back was huge for this win, even though he didnt play well offensively, defensively we dont win without his POA on Brunson

Seeing our team knock down 3 after 3 to close out the game in the 4th was poetic

Ironically on the flip side, the Knicks are one of the worst 4th quarter teams in the NBA. Due to Thibs grinding his players out with his short rotations

I've noticed the past week or 2 Goga's energy isnt as much as previously

I think the minutes are taking a toll on him. We need WCJ to play more like in this Knicks game so Goga doesnt get run into the ground

“We’ve got a lot of young guys, honestly. We’ve got a lot of fresh legs,” Black told The News as a teammate doubled-down on his statement with an emphatic, expletive-laden co-sign while exiting the locker room. “We’ve got a lot of guys we can swap in. Everybody plays defense the same. Everybody’s buying into the scheme, and we’ve got a good game plan. So we just try to execute that and play hard.”

“Coach Mose always tells us, ‘Play til you get tired, then raise your hand,’ and we did that tonight,” Caldwell-Pope told The News. “We’re subbing guys in and out. We play until we get tired. That’s one of our key game plans.”
