Raps struggled to score on Orlando, watch video to see the differences. Young scorer who knows how to jab step, and finish in variety of ways.

lol he's going to cost them Flagg.

He's like a big Cam Thomas.

Sometimes we focus on defense too much.

phx it taking beal and nukic out of the starting lineup per chris haynes.

Sources: In midst of 4-game losing streak and tension in locker room, Phoenix expected to make drastic change by removing Bradley Beal, Jusuf Nurkic from starting lineup beginning Monday at Philadelphia.

This is probably going to be fluid for most of their career but Scottie is easily the worst of the Cade/Franz/Mobley/Scottie groupings now. I didn't realize it but Mobley is averaging 19/9 on 65% TS.

cade is basically what we been hoping from Scottie elite creator on sub league efficiency and + defense. Scottie has not been as good on defense or creating due to lack of his own gravity.

The offensive gap was always going to rear its head once Franz and Cade got more adjusted. Scottie was able to keep the gap close because had the most NBA ready body but that gap is going to widen as Franz and Cade grow into their adult body.

Mobley is in the perfect roster for his strengths and weaknesses so that’s a given. He just has to defend at a high level and have good hands to finish at the rim when you’re playing off Garland and DM gravity.

The one that surprises me is Jalen Johnson. He had a high ceiling but I didn’t expect him to reach this level until like year 5.

Knicks are slumping. They haven’t looked good at all recently.

Yea, I agree on Cade/Franz. I am still not sold on Cade (as all nba talent) because he doesn't get to the line much and he hasn't been a good jump shooter. Franz is really unique because he might be the best slasher/finisher of all of them but people would assume opposite.

Mobley is definitely on a team that can optimize him better but he has really improved on his own this year, the game slowed down for him. His attacks are better and his hands are better. Last season he looked rough at times when he got the ball even with advantage. You don't just average 19ppg on 65% TS with the type of shots he takes. He is not playing like Jarett Allen/DAJ.

Also leaving out Jalen Johnson and Sengun from that class, both are right there with Scottie imo. You could make a case that Scottie shouldn't go top 4 in a redraft.

I think things will continue to be fluid until the end of year 5. I think we’ll know by then who are the best players from the draft.

I forgot about Sengun, I was really focusing on the lotto picks. Jalen Johnson is a no from me but he is good. He is similar to Scottie that does not play defense at all. He is more efficient but he also has a top 3 passer on his team. I think Barnes is still better than him this year, the others been better than Barnes.

That was always a draft where different guys are going to have the best year. Barnes arguably had the best year 1 and 3. So far there is 1 ROTY and 1 AllStar....and Barnes has them both. Not bad for a zero level scorer who was seen as a long term project.

Not to mention, as others have said, Mobley is in the ideal place. Hell he gets to play with 3 All Stars with 1 being a star.

And as for Cade and Franz, as scorers, they have the ball in their hands lots which they want and need. Franz took advantage of Pablo's injury and ran with it.

Barnes just doesn't have that scoring in his game(like Cade/Franz) or the team around him to be the 3rd option(like Mobley).

I see on BasketballReference they track heaves. Did the NBA not count heaves in FG and 3pt%?

Last game, I saw RJ toss the ball sideways 5 ft to Scottie with a few seconds left for a 3/4 court heave.

I think Franz/Sengun were both just as good as Scottie last year (they didn't make all star but that is due to **** out of their control). Mobley was the best their 2nd year. Barnes was the best their rookie year.

Barnes cannot be franz or Cade offensively because he is worse at scoring the ball and dribbling the ball. he is also just a worse slasher than Franz. It's not about having the ball more. he lacks the on ball skills.

if I had to bet long run and rank them: Franz = Mobley, Barnes, Sengun= Cade. Mobley is always going to have his defense to fall back on.

Franz love is too premature imo. Below average 3point shooter for 2 years now with a <2:1 AsT:TO ratio. Orlando has been in the bottom 10 in ORTG for all 3 years that he and Paolo have shared the court. The system does a lot more there than people like to think, and how well they're playing without both is evidence of that.

For me, Mobley has been and continues to be the number 1 prospect of that draft. Highest floor of any of them to this date. Cade has separated himself as number 2. After that, I think you can make an argument for any of Scottie, Sengun and Franz as who you would pick 3rd, and I think each position would have valid arguments.

boxscore underrates Franz but he is great. he is an great slasher/shot creator and finisher, he had a down year from 3 last year but as you saw this year if he shoots close to his average you are looking at 24/6/6 on 58% TS and elite defense. Franz impact stats were top 10 this year before the injury. Orlando offense stunk because their shooters shot poorly and nothing to do with Franz. You have to factor Franz is better on defense than all but Mobley.

like this year 114 ORTG with Franz and 105 ORTG without him. What do you expect a player to do when they not in game.
