Not sure how many minutes he played because he was in foul trouble early.
I was expecting a offensive package of scoring and you showed me 2 dunks.
Flagg athleticism is great, I will be sold when he starts hitting that jumpshot. His game will go to the next level if he gets that jumpshot.

It looks like he's starting to improve his shooting, but we'll see.

Cooper covers a ridiculous amount of ground per dribble. Super long strides. Three dribbles from the opposite three-point line to dunking the ball. Giannis-like and that's not hyperbole.

Never thought we'd be telling a white prospect to improve his shooting but here we are lol.

Crazy because he doesn't have white prospect athleticism. He's a legit dunk on your head type athlete.
It's why I'm so hard on him. Anyone with a clear eye can see the jumpshot is the only thing holding him back. If this kid ever develops his jumpshot we talking about a legit superstar.

Hope you guys start winning some games with a healthy roster so we can get him. We need/deserve him more lol

I actually like Dylan Harper for you guys more. Harper/Barnes kind of feels like the same player. Although have 2 of those guys couldn't hurt lol.Tor_Raps wrote:JustBuzzin wrote:Tor_Raps wrote:

Either way I'm excited about this draft Flagg/Harper are clearly the top 2 imo. I would be happy with either.

If he's already an ~80% FT shooter - then in current league with emphasis on shooting, he'll easily figure that out at least to the level of being a very decent shooter. If you show decent shooting touch - improving your jumpshot is like the least concern you could have.
Amazing prospect.
Amazing prospect.

Re: Cooper Flagg
he's a tremendous talent, hes a do it all type player that'll fill up the stat sheet. But he's not the guy you give the ball to to go and get a bucket. Ace Bailey is that kind of player. I don't think he' should be the #1

Because most of them had below the rim athleticism so they practically had to be a good shooter otherwise they would be out of the league.
Flagg is a good athlete so he can stick in the NBA without ever being a good shooter.

Modern day offenses requires your primary scorer to be able to read a defense and make the right play. Bailey can't do that at all.

yea but that can be taught with time in the NBA like every other star had to adjust. Becoming a top level scorer is a lot harder to become. Ace is already a top level type scorer

Flagg has been the more efficient scorer this year (Ace has a 51 TS%). And he has a ridiculously bad 1:3 assist to turnover ratio.

We just going to ignore the carry and double dribble

Flagg is putting up 17 points per game on 44% FG and 30% on 3s. Ace is putting up 19 PPG on 46% and 34% on 3s. So more efficient scoring where? Flagg has a 54 TS% while Ace is at 52% . So why are you talking as if Flagg is other worldy to Ace? The assist I give you but we all know Flagg is a better passer and more of a floor leader while Ace is more of a scorer/ shot creator.

I didn’t say is other worldly when it comes to Ace and scoring.
I said Flagg has been the more efficient scorer.
Flagg is averaging 17.5ppg on 55.6 TS%.
Bailey is averaging 19.1ppg on 51.6 TS%
Those are the numbers I’m looking at when I said he’s the more efficient scorer.
I will say there is an other worldly difference when it comes to facilitating and defense between those two.

Ace Bailey is averaging 0.7 assists in 33 mpg. That is insane.
He's not going to be a go-to scorer in the NBA if he can't read the floor at all.

Re: Cooper Flagg
Ace Bailey looking like a 6’10” Cam Thomas that can’t shoot.
