Suns fan here with a random question. Do you see any correlation of how the Suns are run now to how the Knicks were being run under Isiah Thomas? Big name brand offensive players that don’t fit well together, poor team chemistry, reckless spending in regards to the salary cap/luxury tax, coaching drama and just an overall losing & uninspiring vibe?

I choose to block out all memories of this team during the Zeke years. It was brutal. It sucked right up until Leon was hired.

during his time as knicks head honcho, the team typically have high team salaries that did not justify the crude results.

i would sincerely believe he is responsible for what the suns are experiencing rn.

The correlation to the Isiah Knicks years, the current Suns, and the current Knicks is the same.

Right now Knicks are starph*cking with manufactured star Brunson and KAT, having expended all their assets, while regular season coach Thibs runs these posers into the ground and Dolan gets to cash checks to buy another island, or whatever it is rich people do.

Get Brunson and his crap coach father off the team. Then the wins will start flowing.

Isiah Thomas still advising Dolan. Obvious from the current state of the team.

He only makes $25m. I asked you before who you'd actually like to get for that.

Two guys making 12.5 million. Then the bench would be awesome, the ballhogging would be gone and Becky would lead the Knicks to glory as Thibs is made Vice President of Staring at the Filing Cabinet

Yes... when I look at the Suns, I think Isiah Thomas NY years... I'm sorry, bro... it's going to be a loooong 1 or 2 decades as a Suns fan... They're going to keep trying to band-aid fix things by shuffling bad contracts all while KD ages out and Booker eventually asks out and then they recoup some picks from the Booker trade but it's hardly enough to rebuild properly. PHX is going to make a lot of other teams really good through their lotto picks.

I'm thinking we use KAT and Hart in the off-season for a Giannis to NYK trade. They probably throw in Portis Jr. to make salary work and we have to throw in the WAS 1st, rights to Rokas, Dadiet, and a future 1st. I say this because I see both MIL and NYK falling short of expectations in the playoffs and I see Giannis finally forcing his way out with NYK on his list of destinations.

Then, we bring in a new coach like Dan Hurley and get to true contender status with a 3-4 year window.

This sounds more like the 2010-2020 era with some Isiah sprinkled in. From Amar'e to Melo NTC to KP mutiny.

I literally skipped the Zeke era mentally. There was a few years until we got Mike D that I was totally checked out. Life was crazy back then. Started an HVAC company with my "brother" and we worked non stop for like 5 years 12+ hours a day and we were young and wild back then. I had no time for the mess that was going on around here.
