Not sure how many minutes he played because he was in foul trouble early.

I was expecting a offensive package of scoring and you showed me 2 dunks.

Flagg athleticism is great, I will be sold when he starts hitting that jumpshot. His game will go to the next level if he gets that jumpshot. :o

We just going to ignore the carry and double dribble

Yep...he is ready for the NBA

This is an 18 year old kid with #1 spot basically sealed going up like that. This is something Lebron would do. It's all starting to mesh together.

People really wrote this kid off after a few weeks. Dudes will never learn. Easily the #1 pick in this draft.

Ace Bailey is averaging 0.7 assists in 33 mpg. That is insane.

He's not going to be a go-to scorer in the NBA if he can't read the floor at all.

Bailey over Flagg is definitely....a take.

People worried about his jump shot...man, he's going to be fine. FT% is an indicator of future success hitting long range shots. He just turned 18 and never really had to settle for outside jumpers in his life. He's just so quick and powerful. That part of his game will come. Very few top players come straight into college knocking down a bunch of threes. That part of the game gets developed as time goes on. Giannis, Anthony Davis, Zion, those guys weren't three point shooters either. Because they were too big and strong growing up and never had to settle. Flagg is the same. He's going to be very very good. I have zero doubts.

Modern day offenses requires your primary scorer to be able to read a defense and make the right play. Bailey can't do that at all.

yea but that can be taught with time in the NBA like every other star had to adjust. Becoming a top level scorer is a lot harder to become. Ace is already a top level type scorer

In a league that is becoming more offense oriented, becoming a top level scorer is easier than ever.

Playmaking and BBIQ is more important

Cooper's just a special talent. I don't know how many Freshman that can come in and have a

PER of 26.3
Win share of 3.2
BPM - 14.2 (wtf)
OBPM - 6.6
DBPM - 7.6

These are monster numbers for any college basketball player, let alone an 18-year-old freshman still figuring it out along the way.

Ya and just to add onto this. I brought this up like a month ago and it’s still holding. Flagg leads Duke in scoring, assists, rebounds, blocks, and steals.

And he’s not doing this on some depleted roster. Duke is ranked in the top 5 and is the #1 team on Kenpom. So Duke is a top tier team this year and he’s doing something that’s never been done at Duke before.

It is ok to admit we were wrong, we were all wrong, most people feared he could be injury prone and they were right on that, but we didn't know he would get fat, forget that he averaged 4 stocks in college and just be Zach Randolph with ball handling...

I think there's a difference in having a unique body/athleticism combo and being generational as a talent. I personally was pretty high on what Zion could be on the court(if he could keep his weight down and avoid more injuries but that seemed somewhat unlikely even 4 years ago). I don't think he had true generational talent though in terms of what would translate to an nba court. I feel like his ceiling was pretty much consistent top 5-10 player for much of his prime. Generational is 3-5x mvp and makes people rethink what a player is capable of doing. I never bought into the idea that Zion was going to have high two way impact with his body size which is what he needed on top of developing a decent outside shot and being able to play 33+mpg without looking dead out there.

Basketball gods robbed us of 6’8 Zion. He’s really 6’6 and maybe even 6’5.

I haven't really seen anything that says skyhigh bball iq. It seems like he has a good feel for the game but should be reserved for prospects like Lebron, CP3, Luka etc.

The disgusting college spacing is hiding his handles. Such an easy fix, but the NCAA doesn’t get it.

Flagg has garbage handles and likes to mean mug every time he makes a play. He’s lucky he’s not playing in the 90’s NBA. He get his head ripped off

I feel like it’s the people who just didn’t like him. I keep on saying it but he is going to be one of those 3s,4s that is able to do everything. One of those Lebron, Paolo types
