Hou/NO

Post#1 » by spankz141 » Wed Jan 8, 2025 6:12 pm

Houston In: CJ McCollum and Daniel Thesis

New Orleans In: Cam Whitmore, Steven Adams, Jeff Green and a future first (top 10 protected)

Houston bolster's its roster with some vets going into the second half of the year and potentially the playoffs.

New Orleans picks up a young player with potential, draft capital and additional trade pieces.

This is really bad for Houston. CJ McCollum is a huge negative, and somehow, Houston is giving up Cam and a pick for him.

I think CJM is close to neutral value. Really good scorer, locker room guy, and his contract drops a bit next year. Some probably have him slight positive, some negative..

OP is way too much value. And Houston should really be pawning Jalen Green off on NOP if they are taking CJ back..

CJ just dropped a 50 piece and he is bad/neutral value? Lol whatever.

I think if CJ is on the right team, he can be a great locker room guy and provide leadership to a young team with his playoff experience. I added the pick only because Cam is not a sure thing either.

I agree, he has good value especially for certain teams like the Rockets (I'm a Rockets fan). He has playoff experience and can get you a good production off the bench in Houston.

Your thoughts on the trade idea?

Not sending whitmore or firsts for CJ

New Orleans is better without the salary.
Dump Ingram next and figure out a plan at center.
