Ah yes, let’s trust a metric that puts Mahomes as the 15th best QB despite losing 1 game all year with backups all over the offensive side of the ball.

That's the beauty of advanced stats, they aren't polluted by biases.

They are compiled solely by the available data.

How is team record a bias? It’s literally a number that the QB has the most influence over out of every player on the field.

You say this, while insisting on completely disregarding Purdy's contributions to SF's success.

The difference is that Mahomes won without his top playmakers, we saw what Purdy did this year without his.

Funny how this always goes back to Mahomes. Has to choose a generational talent which the 49ers aren't getting. Of course, he ignores contributions from the Chiefs top oline, top defense, and special teams as if those have not greatly impacted the Chief's success.

Mahomes has won when his team had a bad o line, and middling defense in previous seasons.

When he had better weapons. And why do you keep going back to this 1,000 times? The 49ers arent acquiring Mahomes and nothing close to it. So give it up already. You keep repeating the same things over 1,000 times already in this thread You keep pushing this same stuff ad nauseum. Everyone on this board already knows where you stand since you have post little else

Who is actually comparing Purdy to Mahomes?
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

The only reason I brought up Mahomes was because that silly stat had him ranked as the 15th best QB.

You realize, its not an generic ranking list right?

Its a metric comprised of a conglomeration of advanced stats, that evaluates QB performance/production while accounting for things the QB can't control.

Yes sir., Daniels had an incredible rookie season.

I'd be curious to see where Stroud fell in this metric after his rookie year. For as impressive of a rookie year Stroud had, Daniels' was arguably better.

I get it, but the fact that Mahomes is 15th on the list shows how little you should glean from it.

Actually, your post here shows that you don't get it.

It is possible for Mahomes to be a great QB, while also concurrently benefitting from the help around him and other situational factors. These are not mutually exclusive.

He didn't benefit from anyone on the offensive side of the ball this year. He was playing with backups damn near the entire season.

You're delusional.

KC had the 3rd most YAC in the NFL, and has at worst a top 10 Offensive line.
