Just a few observations: The Bucks can pay someone a second to get under the second apron, but if they have to part with BroLo, there's no point. (2) While the extra year of Beal sucks, the cold hard reality is that Middleton may not be healthy again. Beal on a contract at 200% of his market value is still more valuable to a playoff team because he can take the court and play. (3) The Heat are going to have to begin prioritizing their goals as far as the return for Butler. Middleton is off the books in 2026. Allen, him, and that Suns unprotected 1st might be as good as it gets.

Can he, though? He's usually injured. He's playing now but to bank that much money on that guy staying healthy is pretty extreme.

Are we talking Grayson?

Yeah, the Beal part is tough for the Bucks, but if Middleton isn't going to be right again, they've got limited options.

Yes, Grayson Allen.

Beal is not any more reliable than Khris availability wise, Bucks don’t need another guy to pound the ball and chuck shots especially a selfish one with a NTC. Dame and Beal are horrific pair, would be laughingstock of the league for overpaid incompetence. We need a guy who can play in the offense and play defense, so not in any possible way Beal. I’ll just hope Khris can be healthy and step it up for the playoffs.

Yes, Grayson Allen.

I'm not completely against this, but I'd probably look to flip Grayson and another asset for a player we have more use for. Without him, we have Herro, Jacquez, Robinson, Highsmith, Larsson, Burks, and Richardson. We're a bit crowded there. We've been using Highsmith out of position but even still, our rotation is pretty solid, and after this we'd have Middleton, too, but I don't see him as flippable. Grayson, with an asset, should be able to return is a worthwhile piece.

The Suns say no.

Trading their 2031 1st, Dund and Ighodaro for switching Beal to Butler means theiy mortgaging their future significantly more (in other words completely) which is saying a lot.

Too good for MIL.

I get this, even agree with it, but the Suns are definitely going to turn Beal into Butler if they can regardless of that first.

Probably yes, but adding Dunn and Ighodaro is more than suicidical.
