Agree. TOR already has a bunch of wings with questionable D. Olynyk ain't much but plays a position of need

Note on the salaries:
Huerter for Olynyk straight-up without any other salaries works, and that allows SAC to get a TPE for Huerter's salary because SAC can take Olynyk into the NTMLE.
Not sure if that is enough to entice SAC to send TOR something they'd actually value, because Colby, Len or SRPs don't hold much value to TOR

I’d be all about this.

As would I. But not enough to include a good 1st. Which is really all Sac can offer aside from 2nds. We don't have any mid end prospects or late 1sts. Not really a fit here.

Not sure where Toronto is going to find an offer they want for Olynyk. Looking at the league, find a matching useless expiring salary + 2nds. Or a team that would actually give a 1st?

Olynyk is almost 34, injured to start the season, and isn't cracking 15mpg on a bad Toronto team. I guess I don't see the market. Time will tell. I guess if the Clippers don't want to make a bigger move this year, Tucker + 2nds works.

Olynyk couldn't crack 15mpg because he is still working his way back from injury, not because we have better back up big options than him.

I don't really think TOR is shopping Olynyk hard: if they get an offer too good to refuse, fine, but they'realso fine with his locker room impact into next season, and don't have any playable C prospects in the pipeline right now anyway.

I agree that Olynyk may not have much of a market. I've been watching him his entire career; IMO he isn't as good as 3-4 years ago and I don't think he is worth his salary anymore, or the 2 SRP offers be posted on the TnT

TOR is making available 3 expiring salaries (Brown, Boucher, Mitchell) and can take back an extra $9-10M in salary. I have those guys as neutral-at-best, so value is mainly about the money coming back and providing financial relief.

The Kings don’t own SAS’s 2025 2nd round pick so this trade would be illegal.

The Kings own CHI’s 2025 2nd round pick but it’s top 55 protected (which means we basically don’t own the pick and it holds no value in a trade). The only 2nd rounder SAC can trade at the moment is the 2029 SAC 2nd.

Spotrac has the Kings with the Spurs 2nd rd pick in 2025 with no protections on it.

It’s under talked about but Monte had a ton of grease for trades from the mountain of 2nds Vlade left him…and Monte has burned through all of them.

Then I would guess that Spotrac has it wrong for some reason. None of the other sites indicate they own that pick.

To be fair, he used a lot of them to either create cap for the DeRozan trade or as incentive to get the parties involved in the trade to accept the offer.

When or if the Raps trade away Brown, Mitchell, Boucher and/or Olynyk....they NEED a C coming back.

All these deals where they just add SG's just make no sense.

That’s weird. Did the Kings not get that pick in the HB deal in exchange for the 2031 swap?

It's basically a fake second. Top 55 protected so highly unlikely to convey to us.

And it was a top 55 protected CHI 2nd from my understanding. Not a SAS 2nd.
