Silver lining.

Today was Zach 5th 30 point game over the last 6 games.
Here to argue about nonsensical things and suck away your joy. :kissmybutt:

This was a really ugly game, no effort by too many players

As long as Coby and Pat get starter minutes; and, Billy Donovan is head coach, this team will never make any progress.

I wonder how many layups the Pacers had. It was like they were doing a pre game layup drill. Way too easy, probably their easiest win of the season.

Bulls had no effort and zero defense. Billy needs to be tougher on his players and actually focus on this or they will have games like this all the time.

They went on a 2 win streak and immediately got cute but truth is they won’t beat anyone without playing hard.

Smith was +3 in a blowout game, he played pretty well. Just noticed he didn't miss, not a 2 pointer or 3 pointer or FT. And while he wasn't swatting away shots near the rim like Wemby, he was actually there and at least fouled and put up some physical resistance. When he was out it was just layups and dunks.

Since we're going for the play-in, I could see trading Vuc for some defensive help and going with Smith as the starter. They need to do something, the team as-is won't be able to win 2 play-in games. The team can barely win 3 regular season games in a row, we've only done that once and two of those games were Charlotte/Toronto.

Because literally the exact opposite of the Spurs game.

Vuc.was.really struggling out there, it.was glaring.

Actually imho Giddey.and Lonzo played hard D, and honorable mention to zach.

That was pathetic as is the case far too often.Once again I tell you, the Bulls need to move Zach and few other teams want him because there he was scoring his 30+ points yes4assists to3 TOs but he sure didn't wear himself out switching on interior defense. This was a game where the Bulls needed a leader to grab them by the neck, steady the ship and guide them before they got down 34 points. Didn't happen. Never does, another 30 point game loss included. You can wish Giddey would do it but 5 TOs and 5 assists, Coby must have Billy's confidence to be out there with the bench guys but couldn't. You saw Vuc again, get frustrated by lack of calls by the officials and he spent the rest of the game pouting on and off the court and was MIA.

I don't mind the loss, they're trying to reach .500 but it's the way they looked in the 1st quarter, just lethargic and disinterested. Billy waited too long to put Vuc, Zach and Giddey on the bench, they should have sat out the 2nd half

All you can hope from this game is that either the Bulls see that Duarte, Phillips and Matas might be viable options for them so they're ready to start trading and not getting much back and/or some other team is now willing to make the Bulls an offer for Lavine and Vucevic because they sense desperation. And they should enter into the desperate phase

Games like tonight make me miss Ayo and Craig.

Remember when Matas wore a mask for like one game? What ever happened to that? Quick healer?

Lonzo Ball chasing down that turnover and getting the block just to turn and see no other Bulls ran down to help was pretty much a microcosm of the whole game.

Patrick Williams is the weirdest 40% 3-point shooter ever. His misses look like they were shots taken from someone who should never be shooting 3's.

Like when Coby and Zach miss a 3 they generally still look accurate/om-target but just miss. When Williams misses... anything is possible.

Vuc should be embarrassed that he got worked by Thomas Bryant.

Warriors you're 6-11 since December. Trade for Vuc already before your season is gone.

This was the first full Bulls game I've gotten to watch live in awhile. Boo.

When is Ayo supposed to be back? He is so much more a winning player than Coby.

Of course, it's not like Billy will make him the starter. Even though, even before the season, everyone with any bit of sense has been saying it is the smartest approach.

It isn't all bad, I usually catch about half of every game live, this was the first end to end game

I almost never watch live anymore. I often purposely wait about 45 minutes after the game has started to play the recording. It allows me to avoid going nuts listening to the pre-game and halftime schticks from Gill, Amin and King and skip commercials. I usually catch up about the beginning of q4.

I just looked for an update. Another week before Ayo can start sprinting. Geesh.

Someone pointed out an interesting stat. Zach just played his 406th game as a Bull. Exactly the same number as Derrick Rose played as a Bull. Lavine has 1700 more points as a Bull than Rose did.

One got his number retired. The other they tried to run out of town.

My guess is that the front office keeps thinking PW has potential and will eventually take a leap forward. At this point he probably is who he is.

He is a guy who needs to ride the bench. His youth is all he has. Let him be the 4th pf .

He must have pictures because his play must bring everyone down.

Do not go there. Rose actually was a driving force. Other NBA players truly respected and feared going against in his prime.

I am a Zach fan but he does not have that gravity.

Let's focus on the lack of a pf. If we had a 4 to shoot, protect the rim, and rebound. The Bulls would be dangerous.

I watch and start to lift. It is a great way to get motivated. Patrick is good for at 3 extra reps on my burnout.

My Irish temper is a terrific motivator while I do work on our property. I worked out six months of paid therapy with a shrink for free during a few hours of furious shoveling out of our downstate sleet/snowstorm this past weekend.
