Glad to see the bench guys knock off some rust even if it causes Thibs to have night terrors.

The players probably surf this forum and read buzz’s comments. Very demoralizing.

KAT's averaging 30/18/4 in January. He's turning his game up a level, just in time.

KAT is insane. He comes in and doesn’t miss. He deserves a title. Wonder what we could get for MB.

I've been told the bench is fine and actually pretty good, Thibs is the only person who thinks they suck. Maybe we watched a different game?

I know you're joking but i do think it would be better if those guys got in earlier, warmed up a bit, got into a rhythm. they come in cold and it's inevitable they'll struggle at first.
I dunno.

Kolek was on the court with Matt Ryan and Toppin, neither of them is NBA players.

And they were with Shamet and Sims. No one scored a single point against the Raptors scrubs who scored 8 straight in 2 minutes. They've been this awful all season. I'm just seeing pitiful excuses for them and blaming everyone else.

Yeah and don’t put them all in at once at the end. Stagger them earlier. Almost like Thibs is trying to prove a point,

he knows what he is doing -- the players not in the regular rotation are cold so his narrative that "they dont deserve minutes" would prevail (he hates having a big rotation)

if he used those guys during the start of the season with regularity then they would be hitting their stride and rhythm by now

shamet and sims?! lord knows those two are the pillars of any great lineup

raptors emptied their bench at 4 mins. we had a 25 point lead at 3:20 with all of our starters in minus KAT. we emptied our bench at 2:20 up 26 and raptors went on a decent run lead by boucher.

lets look at context now

raptors bench mpg avg
Sheed - 16 mpg
Temple - 4 mpg, subbed in for the first time at 4 mins
Walter - 20 mpg
Boucher - 17 mpg, subbed in for the first time at 4 mins
Olynyk - 15 mpg

knicks bench
Kolek - 6 mpg, subbed in for the first time with 2:20 left in the 4th
Toppin - 4 mpg, subbed in for the first time with 2:20 left in the 4th
Shamet - 13 mpg
Ryan - 4 mpg, subbed in for the first time with 2:20 left in the 4th
Sims - 12 mpg

do you see the issue there and what might explain the reason our "bench" was outplayed by the raptors "scrubs". thibs sets these guys up to fail and people like you fall for it every time. I'm waiting to see if he ever puts these guys in position to succeed
