I dont like the idea of giving up picks for the swap as Dallas is barren there, and not a believer in Jalen Smith. Plus rather not give LAL a much needed piece.

Is there a trade to be had with Charlotte instead? It's a similar make-up: Dallas gets Ayo, but Richards instead of Smith. Char gets Gafford. The question then is what other pieces make it work? Lonzo to Cha, Bridges to Chi, and Grimes going to the team that's missing value?

The Bulls end up with Wood as the backup center to the guy they want and need to trade. So who do they end up starting after they do trade Vucevic?

Huge loss on the floor this year getting Vincent for Ayo and what good is having Carter and Vincent, a pair of 6 foot shooting non playmaking PGs ? Ayo and Smith if you've ever watched a Bulls game are two young veterans who actually still have potential to polish their games. Not the guys you trade for a pick that might make your rotation in a couple of years, not the move for a VP on the clock to start building after two failed moves, Vicevic and DeRozan who they are still paying off.

Just too much value and real rotation minutes to send out for little return from Mavs POV.
Grimes, based on his 30 games as a Mav, is a legit 25 minutes players, can we say the same about Ayo? I'm not convinced at all, non scoring guards have big hurdle to jump if they want to be on the floor in the PO.
