Bulls-Hornets Massive Rebuild Move
Charlotte sends: Mavs 27 1st (top 2 protected), Heat 27 1st (lottery protected, unprotected in 28), Miles Bridges, Tre Mann, Nick Richards and Vasa Micic.
Charlotte receives: Coby White, Nicola Vucevic, Lonzo Ball and Torrey Craig
Chicago sends: Coby White, Nicola Vucevic, Lonzo Ball and Torrey Craig
Chicago receives: Mavs 27 1st (top 2 protected), Heat 27 1st (lottery protected, unprotected in 28), Miles Bridges, Tre Mann, Nick Richards and Vasa Micic.
-Bulls get what they have been coveting, first round picks. 2 of them both super lite protections which probably is an overpay for this group of players.
- Tre Mann, Richards and Vasa are RFA/unguaranteed next year so Chicago has flexibility
- Bridges is mainly here for matching from Hornets side
- Richards is cheap replacement for Vuc, 5 mil next year
- Mann is RFA and could be Chicago next Coby White of getting a steal on a 10-13 million dollar deal per year.
- Vasa can be waived, 0% guarantee next yr.
- Hornets get another scorer in White, which is needed for the worst offensive rating in league.
- Vucevic gives them a stretch 5, which Charles Lee has missed since coming from Boston. Could be Hornets Horford.
- Lonzo for the Melo connect and also Charlotte needs more defensive players.
- Craig a throw in to replace Miles mins at the 4.
Again, I think probably slight an overpay for Charlotte but a lot of these players fit into the boxes that the Hornets need around Miller and LaMelo so I think they might be willing to. Chicago enters into their rebuild.

1 1st is plenty for what's coming back to Charlotte, Mavs and Heat picks are high quality due to high variance potential and it should factor in.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

Re: Bulls-Hornets Massive Rebuild Move
I like these teams as trade partners..although I was thinking of other goals (P Williams/Lonzo for Bridges/Micic)..I feel like Vuc would be better on a contender, I'm sure he would make the Hornets a better team this year, but in this point in the season and facing a strong draft...is that what Charlotte wants...?... As for OP, I think it's an overpayment.

Re: Bulls-Hornets Massive Rebuild Move
OP prefers Coby White for 2 lightly-protected 1st round picks to someone like Simons at 3 high 2nd round picks (32, 34, 2027 Pelicans/Blazers 2nd).
So much so that he's willing to subtract Miles Bridges and Tre Mann.
Wow.
I will take Simons + Heat 1st + Mavs 1st + Miles + Mann over this **** burger.

Coby White is salary is half of Simons, he also is healthier and bigger.
You could also swap in Josh Green for Tre Mann if you think Charlotte is giving up too much value here.

I like the idea of Vuc on Charlotte. They have no big that can stretch the floor he fixes that. Mark Williams is still an iffy play longterm for injury so getting another big that feels like they could be a starter for a few more years is great insurance. He also gives them another Veteran player which the team still lacks unless you count the occasional appearance of Curry or Gibson on the floor.

I'd do Green plus 2 firsts straight up for Coby White.
But Chicago shouldn't be listening on White.
Simons, Miles and Mann would supply plenty of firepower in an offense led by LaMelo and Miller.

I don't like the incoming to Charlotte being 2 additional PGs when they could use some size on their frontline.

Yeah this would be more about setting the table moving forward and less about this year.
Craig would be the short term answer. Next year Grant Williams back and Tidjane Salaun another year of polish would be the PF rotation.
Mark Williams and Vucevic center rotation.
Main guard rotation would be LaMelo-Lonzo-Coby White rotating in the 1/2 spots.

Re: Bulls-Hornets Massive Rebuild Move
You could update it to Miles, Green, Richards and Vasa along with 2 firsts and I am fine with that too. That has the Bulls taking on more money so maybe that helps even the value of the 2 firsts, because 1 first feels like not enough for Vuc, White and Lonzo.

This should probably be an offseason move to not mess with their tank this year

Re: Bulls-Hornets Massive Rebuild Move
OK for starters, aside from the brothers joining up, why does CHA need defense for half a season when they're 8-27, wouldn't they risk costing themselves a few lottery slots?
The only part I don't like is the Bulls giving up Lonzo Ball, except for his shot he does look like himself on both ends
I'm the guy who like Bridges and loves the two picks but I don't see anybody giving up 2 FRPs for White and Vucevic to play next year needing new contracts and an expiring Ball brother.
Bridges Buzelis
Williams Phillips
Smith Richards
Giddey Dosunmu Mann
Lavine THT Micic
