NO Fox.

Post#1 » by Pelon chingon » Thu Jan 9, 2025 6:05 pm

New Orleans gets a high level PG to pair with Zion and irons out the Ingram situation where everyone already knows they don't want to pay him.

Sacramento balances out their roster and TBH letting Ingram walk should be considered given the current CBA conditions.

While the trade works on spotrac <> congrats...

Why would Pel need Fox when they have Murray?

How about;

Kings Out: Keegan, Demar
Kings IN: Ingram

NO Out: Ingram
NO In: Keegan, Demar
My Go Team
Magic, Jordan, Pippen, Duncan, Shaq

My Counter
Stockton, Kobe, Bird, Rodman, Dirk

Today's Team
Luka, SGA, Tatum, Giannis, Wemby

I agree, It doesn't fit for them, unless they're looking to trade Murray?

Murray should be in the trade, so he doesn't end up watching Fox, like he had to do with Trae...he's better than that.

An expiring Ingram looking for big extension is clearly not that valuable a trade chip - though he's is a good player that SAC might want.

Maybe...
SAC sends: Fox, Keegan
NOLA sends: DeJounte, Herb, some moderate draft equity

Less than zero interest in Ingram.

Really not interested in trading Fox either. Only way I even consider moving him to NO is with Trey coming back. At least then I can sell we have a 2nd long term forward next to Keegan and Keon.

Would have to be in the off-season.

Fox + Huerter for Murphy + Murray.

I just can't see Fox agreeing to stay in NO with broken down Ingram/Zion.

Ingram certainly doesn't have this value.

I don't think I'd trade Derozan + Huerter for Ingram. Not interested in paying him his next deal.

The point is that Keegan is worth much more than Huerter. And I'm not sure I even do the trade if you swapped out Keegan for Huerter...

lol

Ingram Is only 27years old, yes Injury prone but everyone Is...

It's clearly not working with Kings/Demar and he Is 35 years old

Keegan Is 24years old and only $8mil contract compared to your Huerter who 26years old and Is $16mil

Pel get a nice young player In Keegan for Ingram and an experinced vet In Demar, Kings let loose of 35 year old Demar contract.
But clearly not changing your mind or you changing my mind so leave It at that.

He’s nice I’m not.

This trade isn’t even laughable, it’s insulting.

It’s an attempt at highway robbery and the only thing you’d here is McNair’s laughter as he hung up and blocked NOP permanently.

Ingram doesn't have a market, or Pelicans would have traded him 3 months ago. They clearly made the decision to go forward at the wings with Herb, Hawkins, Murphy.

And Ingram missing 30% of every season isn't normal injury prone. Nobody wants to give him 50/year for his next deal.

Also to your point of clearly not working with Demar... Says who? Since we fired the coach we have won 5 straight, Demar helped us win a few of those games. We have no interest in "letting loose of Demar contract". We signed him for a reason. We would not pay to dump him.

Not a serious offer for Ingram. if they could get anything close to Keegan for him they would jump for joy.

The trade is pretty complicated because Trey Murphy has a poison pill contract this year, but the deal could be...

De'Aaron Fox
Kevin Huerter
Colby Jones
Alex Len
Doug McDermott
Jordan McLaughlin

for

CJ McCollum
Herb Jones
Trey Murphy
Jermiah Robinson-Earl
Javonte Green
Antonio Reeves

That leaves the Kings with a roster of…

PG - Monk / Carter
SG - Ellis / McCollum / Green / Reaves
SF - Jones / DeRozan / Crowder
PF - Murray / Murphy
C - Sabonis / Lyles / Robinson-Earl

Carter, Ellis, Jones, Murray, and Murphy is a lot of defense & length to put around Sabonis. Although we wouldn’t really have a top level talent, I’m sure it would be fun to watch that team play defense and compete each night.

I'm not against trading Fox. But I've come around on what it should look like, and the Kings would need to get a godfather offer.
IMO Fox hasn't given up on his supermax just yet.

This is treating Keegan like he's salary filler.
