Literally the perfect player for OKC. Once Chet gets healthy, they'll have 48 minutes of chaos.

Yeah and how much bad luck did he endure during that time frame/ ? I rest my case. Next time use context.

Context is subjective and have cognitive bias. I stated fact. How many teams with 3 home grown HOF/MVP level, plus another all star in Ibaka can you name that did not win at least 1 championship.

Okc did make 1 nba finals with KD Russ harden ibaka lost to Miami trio of LeBron Wade & Bosh who went b2b & 4 nba finals appearances no Shame in that fact is they couldn’t afford all 4 so harden got traded away and was close to another NBA finals appearance can’t help it if gsw came outta nowhere and the spurs still were the spurs plus Dallas & the lakers clippers rockets were all contenders in the west aswell

Why is it so hard for you to admit that he is a "great fit" on OKC? What he has done alone while Chet has been out should dispel any doubt. The NBA world said last year that Giddey's lack of defense and shooting and the team's overall weakness on the boards were holding the Thunder back. Presti traded Giddey for Caruso and signed iHart as a FA. Caruso has been effective, but needs to stay healthy and Hartenstein has helped tremendously on the boards. Not only is Hartenstein a good rebounder, but he doesn't need a lot of shot's, is a good screener and is a very good passer for a big man. He is the definition of a "great fit".

Because finances in the past is why potentially great OKC teams in the past were dismantled. Money after a good season last year could potentially brought a better player than a bottom half starting C.
3 backup guys make starters money on OKC.

That depends on how you value iHart. I don't think he is a bottom half starting C.

And he gets to opt out after year 2. This contract is fine and OKC is the best team in the league once Chet comes back healthy. And they still might be by the time the trade deadline comes and goes.

OKC not winning a championship is fact.
Brilliance is a subjective term.

Does it follow a system of logic that one is brilliant if they have not won a championship in a competitive sport

Is it logical to assume that a player from another system will fit or subjective conjecture.

Is it logical to pay more to a player who had performed less than others in some metrics.

Have you come to terms yet with what a great fit Hartenstein is for this team? Or are you still in denial?

8th highest paid C for one this publication for example ranks in the bottom half

All the proof I need that you're just trolling. There's no way you're quoting an old article and STILL claiming he's not a great fit. Insanity.

Actually I route for dynasties and think OKC can be one.
I want LAC to miss playoffs win the lottery and OKC get Flagg.

Like stated above finances is what held them back in the past. Meyers stated in the past mistakes are made in deals between the MLE and Max which is for true superstars. Superstar Ill define as perennial MVP.

2 max deals plus 4 mle and you are above the luxury.

This was probably the best and most impactful signing of last summer. Sure enough, the Knicks have regressed from last year without Hartenstein and Divincenzo.

I knew he was good, but his ability to run the offense is incredible. Having the option to put him at the top of the key and run the offense through him is such an underrated weapon.

What looked like a slight overpay to burn excess cap space now looks like a steal. What a signing

Yeah, they are both sorely missed.

We can mitigate the effects somewhat when Bridges and KAT bring their A games, but those two offered a baseline level of toughness and production that is almost impossible to replace.

I was against giving so much money to a big with Chet on our roster but I was wrong (even if I still think it's a mistake to start both of them against most opponents). He's such a great fit due to his elite passing game . I have no clue if he's worth 28 millions/season in a vacuum but to us he's worth every penny.

this was such a homerun signing at teh time, idk who anyone could have been against it. He's a perfect fit for teh roster and helps cover up Chet's weaknesses. The $ amount doesn't really matter because Chet and Jdub are on rookie deals and this contract will expire before their max deals kick in.

Going to be interesting to see if they can afford to keep this team together. 3 max deals, along with the money guys like ihart, Cason wallace, isaiah joe, other J Williams, etc

Passing is one of those abilities which stacks well. You don't necessarily get tons of assists out of everyone, but the more guys on your team who are constantly looking for the better play and can deliver, the more fluid and effective will be your offense.
