He needs to become an NBA level player still. Let’s start there.

Don't you think he is NBA level player now ?

Isn't he a NBA player?

Whole 4th quarter was garbage time. At least they shouldn't be that tired for Bucks.

Yes, I've been thinking the same for a while now, too. But who is a younger version of Conley in the league right now, anyway? Garland, maybe? But Cleveland won't let him go for sure with how things are going up there right now, and he's a worse defender than Conley in his prime. Is there anyone else?

Because JI can't play regular minutes anymore, he's only good for maybe 15 minutes or so

Wendell???

Hes about to be officially demoted to the second unit even with Paolo back, so would feel rude to bring him up to the starting 5 for one game only to drop him tomorrow.

I’ve given Mose plenty of praise this season but this one was a really dumb move.

I thought more about it, and the only options were JI or WCJ. JI is locked in as a bench guy now i feel, and WCJ i think it was more about not playing with his emotions being that tomorrow will be day 1 of him not being a starter with Paolo back in the team, so to bring him up and then send him back on back to back nights would put more of a spotlight on the move. Easier to just let him stay on the bench.

Box score thoughts:

The Magic lost the FG% battle and lost the game.
Indeed, Orlando's defense was more than enough. It was just the terrible shooting that doomed Orlando.

Where would the score have been without Caldwell-Pope and Bitadze?

Orlando had a very strong assist to made FG rate. So the ball movement looks to have been fine, on made shots at least.

There were 97 total rebounds in this game.
The Magic had more blocks and the Wolves more steals leading to near-push on STOCKS

In conclusion, Anthony should not start.

Orlando has the 29th "hardest" schedule to finish the season, whereas New York has the hardest and Milwaukee the 8th.

I fully expect the Magic to finish as the 3 or 4 seed.

Rough watch, but this is how usually games go when a team is as short-handed as we are, miracles like the Knicks game are pretty rare. WCJr. was back to being horrendous offensively and again we couldn't make a 3 to save our lives until garbage time. There is only so much you can do mostly by hustle.

I miss Ingles, even barely able to run he lifted our offense massively. Watching Cole pound the air off the ball and then throw up a bad shot possession after possession is depressing. Apparently his family still lives in Orlando so maybe we can sign him for some assistant role when he retires, he seems to be the type of player who'd make a good coach and our players clearly love him.

Not sure what two-way contract players out there are better than him.
I assume much of the hard to watch offensive decisions he makes is because we have no offense out there with our main guys injured.

Yep...that was nice to hear during the telecast, that his family loves and still lives in ORL. If he can walk, he's exactly the "type" you want on the end of your bench on a vet minimum...rarely playing, but always in the young guys' ears and able to come in for 5 minutes if needed-make the right passes, hit a couple of 3's, piss off an opponent, lighten a tense huddle. he's the best!

I credit AB early season boost to Joe Ingles mentorship. Black for a brief moment was diet Joe Ingles on offense, and Mount Dew with actual sugar Joe Ingles on defense.

and, he was great for Cole last year too. Your 13th guy shouldn't really play anyway. If you're smashed by injuries, you can always bring up G-Leaguers and if that's not enough - then your season is probably toast anyway. Bring him back next year - vet minimum.
