I want Danny Wolf. The Jewish Jokic
I just love smart big men who can create with the ball.

I don't see it
Micic is a dumpy 30 yo 6'3 shooting 30% from 3, averaging 7 ppg on 32% fg
Jak is 18 yo 6'6 shooting 41% from 3, averaging 17 ppg on 50% fg
I wish Micic game was a lot like Jak
I think a better comp for Jak is Austin Reaves

Demin size has me intrigued. Right now I probably have him 4th and Jaku 5th.MasterIchiro wrote:Snidely FC wrote:EmpireFalls wrote:Jak is good but his game is a lot like Micic.

Big difference when you have excellent court vision, high IQ, move with purpose, and play with pace vs. when you have those things but move slow, and have really low athleticism.
The key to unlocking LaMelo is that LaMelo excels on or off ball. He can space the floor off the ball or break down the defense on ball and create shots for himself or makes plays for teammates. Jakucionis' game is balanced where he can also play on or off ball. He's not the playmaker LaMelo is but he would only need to be a secondary playmaker to give the lineup an advantage with a dual playmaking backcourt. Jakucionis is the better shooter.
As a tandem who can play on or off ball, pass, space or break down defenses, they would be very tough to contain. And you have Miller out there who's developing as potentially one of the game's top spacers.
LaMelo - Jaku - Miller really blend nicely together and should give the Hornets a top 10 offense no matter who is finishing plays at PF with Mark as center.
On defense, I watched Jaku make good reads, position well, and play with effort.
He really sees the court well on both ends and plays with that scarce ingredient of high IQ and feel.
Top-3 pick would do wonders for our rise in a very weak East if everyone is healthy.
And don't forget we will have 6 tradeable 1st round picks if a star hits the market. And they could all become lightly protected. Also no bad contracts.
I'm down to Bailey vs. Demin at 4 and 5.

Something about another guy who can be a playmaker with Melo on the court at the same time has me salivating. Lucky for us this class has multiple players who can do that Harper/Flagg/Jaku/Denim all bring that secondary playmaker ability.
Denim is 6'9 imagine a 6'7pg, 6'9sg, 6'9sf. That can be a mismatch for teams.
