LAL - UTAH - SAC

Post#1 » by otbotb » Fri Jan 10, 2025 6:50 pm

LAL trade - Dalton Knecht, Rui Hachimura
LAL receive - Jordan Clarkson, Walker Kessler

LAL get their backup big in Kessler and a backup score in clarkson. Lakers give up Dalton who i think has the same value as kessler. I'm not sure if anymore draft picks needs to be added to this, but it seems fair value.

JAZZ trade - Jordan Clarkson, Walker Kessler
JAZZ receive - Kevin Huerter, Dalton Knecht

Jazz receive young prospect in Huerter and Knecht. Knecht shows lots of promise if more minutes were given to him. Not sure if Utah will require additional draft picks.

KINGS trade- Kevin Huerter
KINGS receive- Rui Hachimura

KING receive a starting PF that can move Keegan Murray back to the SF. Not sure if draft picks also needed to be given out.

Kesssler is a better prospect than Knecht. Kessler is also a bigger need for Utah than Knecht. The jazz would need real value going their way to make this swap

Easy pass for the Jazz. Zero interest.

Zero interest for this jazz fan. Rather keep Kessler by a wide margin.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Pass for Sac.

I don’t know how many times I’ve said this but there is no way in this world SAC does ANYTHING that helps LAL improve.

Knecht is a dime a dozen bench shooter. For a legit defensive big and double double threat? And Knecht is actually older than Kessler, so you can't really even call him a "young prospect". There is no way in the world those two players are comparable, at all.

Huerter sucks and we don't need Knecht at all. He's older than Sensabaugh, extremely redundant with him, and I'm not convinced he is any better. He is also just a bad fit on our team, especially if Kessler is gone. If a team wants Kessler it is going to cost a lot more than this.
