That's just the Thibodeau system at work, in 13 years of coaching he's had 2 teams with a winning record against teams that are .500 or better, the Bulls 2x, the Wolves & Knicks never.

The Jump of quality against the contenders comes with a elite defense and uptempo style in transition... Like we played in January with a suffocating defense that lead to easy offense... we are still far from that despite having multiple games with much better execution on half court... blowing up big teams its not just about execution, its about making them feel depressed and weak

By whom, who's we?
Regardless of the outcome, the Knicks got better and are usually better after the All-Star break. Can the Thunder beat the Cavs once Caruso and Chet come back? Could Orlando shock the Cavs in a playoff series with Pablo and the rest of the walking wounded? Or can we beat Boston with a healthy Mitch-Kat front court?

Just enjoy the a great team matchup and see if we're just below elite.
