To bad we don't have more general posters from this division. Looks like quite the dog fight between the Steelers and Ravens with 4 games left.

On the Bengals front, its been reported Burrow will rework his contract and take less money so they can resign Tee Higgins.

Steelers might be in trouble winning their division now. I know they have clinched a playoff birth but have the Ravens and Chiefs up next. Appears Pittsburgh could be going on the road instead of hosting a first round playoff game.

Gonna be bad news regardless, having half their cap tied up in 3 guys... Burrow, Chase, and Tee. They're all super talented but their defense is already trash. Trying to field a competent team or defense with a cheap owner and little cap will prove difficult.

Burrow, Chase and Higgins currently take up 22.2% of the Bengals salary cap. No where near what the Cowboys have done with Dak and Lamb. Once they sigh Parsons, the Cowboys will have 60% of their salary cap tied up in 3 players. Bengals are in much better shape. Its just their owner and front office is incredibly cheap when you looks at all the areas outside of Burrow, Chase and Higgins. Your right, the defense has sucked all year. If I owned the Bengals I would spend more resources protecting my most valuable asset in Burrow. 2 of his 5 years in the league he was out due to injury. They have the money and space to have a better O-line for sure and a better RB would also help and they could get one on the cheap in this year's upcoming draft.

That 22.2% is with Chase making $9.8 million cap hit, he's going to get a SIGNIFICANT increase. Even Tee on the tag is making $21.82 million cap hit, he's due for a bump.

Justin Jefferson is making $35 million AAV and Chase wants more than that. I could easily see Tee wanting a minimum $30 million AAV.

So, if you have the WR duo at $70 million per season together. Burrow currently makes $55 million AAV. Idk how much the NFLPA would really allow him to take as a pay cut. Even if you say he gets down to $45 million, that's $115 million for 3 guys.

Add in their stud pass rusher Hendrickson who has a $20 million cap hit next season (his agent publicly demanded a raise).

That is $135 million for 4 guys, against at $255 million 2025 cap. It will prove difficult to fill the other 48 roster spots with 53% of the cap going to 4 guys.

Chase Brown is a great cheap and young RB. He just needs a power back to spell him for some snaps but he is a speedster and great at catching.

Week 16: 108 yards from scrimmage
Week 15: 113 yards from scrimmage 2 TD
Week 14: 123 yards from scrimmage 1 TD
Week 13: 100 yards from scrimmage 1 TD
Week 12: bye week
Week 11: 143 yards from scrimmage
Week 10: 94 yards from scrimmage 1 TD
Week 9: 157 yards from scrimmage 1 TD

His biggest issue last season and the first 8 games this season is he wasn't starting and wasn't getting the carries in the run game or targets in the pass game. Guy is explosive, now that he starts, he's tearing it up.

He is 24 years old and makes less than $1 million.

I don't see how not, guy has been on a tear since becoming a starter.

Cheap and young. Perfect for a team who is about to be strapped for cash, if they find a way to re-sign Tee and Ja'Marr.

That's fine lol

He's still gonna have 100+ yards from scrimmage and 1 or 2 TDs every week.

I ran across this. Cincinnati is 0-7 vs. teams with a winning record this year. In all those 7 losses, the Bengals averaged just over 30 points per game.

One other thing I've been paying attention to this season, Bengals are doing well against former coaches.

- Former HC Marvin Lewis who is now the Raiders assistant HC, they beat 41-24.
- Former OC Brian Callahan who is now the Titans HC, they beat 37-27.
- Former DC Mike Zimmer who is now the Cowboys DC, they beat 27-20.
- Former DB coach Vance Joseph who is now the Broncos DC, they beat 30-24.

Bengals are the only team in NFL history to play in 5 ROAD primetime games in a single season.

Bengals should fire Zac Taylor tomorrow but won't because they're cheap and he has 2 years left on his deal.

At minimum should fire the DC, Lou Anarumo but probably won't even do that.

They need a new starter at every defensive line position not named Hendrickson. They need new starters at all 5 secondary positions.

They must obtain a LG and it wouldn't hurt to upgrade RG and C too. Cody Ford has to be retained, guy started games at LT, RT, and LG this season, great versatility.

Gesicki probably priced himself outta being re-signed, unfortunately. Sample will go back to starting.

They need a power back to get thunder and lightning in the back field. Chase Brown is already stud but he's a small guy.

Then obviously gotta figure out if Tee can be re-signed and if Chase can be extended.

Not sure where to post this but Watson tore his Achilles again, probably going to miss the entire 2025 season.

That's pretty horrible. Not sure if he had a crappy surgeon or a crappy therapist, or both

I bet the Bengals go cheap and promote Jordan Kovacs to be their next DC.

He is known for behaving inappropriately when receiving therapy. That's kinda his thing.
