Or if the team doesn’t know how to handle that, don’t build a top heavy roster.

Isaiah Joe who torched us has been in the league 5 years. Yall want Thibs to turn 18 yr old guy from France who to a pay cut to get drafted into Ray Allen overnight. Or make the rest of those scrubs good by playing a couple bad teams in half a season. Ridiculous expectations

What's ridiculous about playing Kolek when Brunson's play is suffering like it has lately?

You'd see an actual playmaker on the floor for a change

You can’t be serious. Part of being a playmaker isn’t just passing the ball. You have to be able to create looks for yourself to get others open. Most teams have shown that they can guard Kolek man to man. If he can’t break the defense he can’t find open teammates bc they won’t be open. Also…as bad as Brunsons defense has been, Kolek is 20x worse.

If our coaching stuff lacks creativity in successfully
putting KAT in position to post down low, he could have actually been hoisting more shots from downtown especially with a shorter defender on him. I feel that we have been missing KAT a lot on opportunities on trailer 3-pointers: I feel that he is able to successfully convert on a lot of those.

Everything can’t just be on the coach when things go bad and everything the players when things go right.

OKC played a zone all game. We hit 4 threes all game, you can’t bust a zone hitting 4 threes all game. The team was ass, no ball movement what’s so ever.

Defensively terrible game plan, we should have been switching on the defense. No effort defensively either way and they exploited the paint. Thibs ass, team ass.

Y'all complained Thibs under played the bench last week, he plays the bench and they let Joe get confidence and blow open the already poor start the starters gave. Again team was ass.

Thibs doesnt have the personal to play his style for 82 games. They didnt just play zone. They mixed it up. They played man to man and they ran plays to get guys open. They double team our key guys. They deliberatly drove on us. What did Thibs do different from the coaches view than the last game? nothing EZ. What did he do different in the second half. I just got here last december. I've never called for his head. I think I'm about 80 watched games in and today - I am calling for us to move on. Players playing bacd is one thing BUT this is about the BIG picture. Thibs is a stubborn dinosour. He will not evolve and thats why the Knicks need to move on.

They were able to double because they sat in a zone all game man. Just because you play man in transition doesn’t mean the main gameplan wasn’t to play zone defense. They were able to easily double because again they were in a zone. You know what stops teams from playing a zone for majority of a game? Moving the ball, making smart pass, and hitting open looks. OG and Mikal didn’t show up on either side of the ball. We played 3 on 5 on offense and 1 on 4 on defense.

It’s okay to have smoke for this team too when they play bad I promise it’s okay.

Multiple players have stated in interviews that Thibs decreases the number of practices in return for heavy minutes in games. If that's the case no wonder why we got no damn offensive sets we can execute. I'm sure the small number of practices they have are all geared towards defense and guarding the paint cuz that's the only one thing they do pretty consistently.

Brunson & KAT playing with lingering injuries, others hitting a wall, wrong coach for these issues, something is going to give hopefully not a foot or knee.

Because Kolek is barely an NBA player. Putting him in the same sentence with Brunson is comical

Thibs apologist anytime you say the team played like garbage lol. Exhausted   give me a damn break. I'm not for or against Thibs you turd but you blame this drubbing on exhaustion? They shot 12% from 3 and couldn't bust them out of a zone all game because of it

Turd? What are you 13? What a clown.
Guess what genius? Playing a ridiculous number of minutes every game wears players down over time. Ask any NBA player and almost all of them agree. Hell even Brunson alluded to it recently when questioned about it. He answered sideways so he didn't' directly throw Thibs under the bus, but these guys are feeling it. And yes that means that their shooting falls off a cliff also. Have you ever even played sports at a competitive level? Donovan Mitchell even praised his HC recently about how he spreads out the minutes and all the players feel great.

The minutes police, you guys are the worst of the worst. Yes Exhaustion is why we got smoked tonight

The fans move is putting much better players in the starting lineup like Kolek, Hukporti and Dadiet. Here we go again with that

Who has the agenda and ego? I agree it is kinda weird he has mentioned the same thing twice in back to back interviews. He won't throw his buddy Brunson under the bus. Him and KAT are too buddy buddy as well. Interesting....

We have a Chip core. We dont know if we have a bench. Thibs obviously has been around the game, his dedication to coaching is elite, he's accomplished a lot. However, he needs to reinvent areas of his coaching and it's clear from listening to him in press conferences -he wont. Thats my issue because I'm looking at the big picture. 7 great nba players with the greatest effort and talent won't bring us a chip EZ. Now if Thibs wakes up and has an ephipany - I will cheer him on.

Butler is freaking 35 years old and now injury prone. Definitely not the right direction for this team.

Personnel-wise and talent-wise, the knicks are one of the best out there rn and there is no shred of doubt about it.

to me, its not the losses that are jarring to see but the level of play is rather disappointing.

Aight so don’t trade for this roster.

They are not finished adding pieces, we may just have to wait until summer if its possible with the cba

Return to New York Knicks
