15 mil euros is nothing in EPL, surprised he wasnt signed earlier even with high salary demands.

I like the Sterling addition on loan.
No fee and not even 50% of his salary.

Quite the addition.
I’m reading though that there may be a clause in the agreement stating he must be transferred in January if they find an agreement with a top club. Not sure if that’s entirely true yet.
It’s kind of shocking that Napoli couldn’t find an actual taker for him, but I understand his wages and napoli’s asking price were quite substantial

Galatasaray denies that clause, otherwise I dont think they would have done the loan because they'll have to change their entire system to incorporate Osimhen, wouldnt make sense to do that for 3-4 months but I've seen weirder things happen here.
Seriously Galatasaray might have the best striker room in the world, top 5 at least, but they have practically no wingers or central midfielders to pass them the ball . Weird transfer all around, decent chance it will fail spectacularly but fun to watch regardless.

Re: Transfer Thread 24/25
Rabiot is set to sign with Marseille...a team that is not in Europe this season. While they've had some good signings this summer, most notably their coach De Zerbi, this signing makes me laugh.
He turned down solid contracts from top clubs all summer, only to sign with Marseille
I am very curious what kind of contract they're giving him.

Re: Transfer Thread 24/25
Juve could rescue Zirzkee from United.
This move should've happened over the summer, but his price increased too much for us...same with Calafiori.
I am hopeful that this deal may actually happen.
Bournemouth have signed 18yo American CB Matai Akinmboni from DC United.

Good. I had hope for him but would rather let some go to get new ones in.magik9113 wrote:Juve could rescue Zirzkee from United.

The more we dump in January, the better this summer looks for transfers.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has asked to leave Napoli. PSG are his most likely destination, with Liverpool another rumored possibility

I like Khvicha. Aren't Liverpool stacked with wingers though? Maybe one of the pool fans here can elaborate. PSG seems more likely.

A couple of things come into play. The first being Salah and his contract situation. The second is the remaining attackers.
Outside of Gakpo, the others are questionable as to whether they will be with the club next season. Nunez appears to be the most likely to leave. He's never materialized into the forward many, including myself, had hoped. Diaz, though playing well and having 2.5 years left on his contract, has been hinting at a move to Barca since last summer. As for Jota, unfortunately, he does tend to pick up injuries a little too often.
Note I do not believe the links for the Napoli player. Midfield and defense are the priority.

Looks like we are in the race for Citys James McAtee along with other Bundesliga clubs.
Meanwhile Marmoush is waiting to sign with City.

Zubimendi reportedly going to Arsenal.
Should be the replacement of Partey, who reportedly is heading to Saudi after this season.

I've watched McAtee play a few times now, seems like a solid talent, he scored a nice hat-trick at the weekend albeit against a pretty lowly Salford team. Could be a nice pickup for Mainz if the price is right.

I don't think we have the money to buy him outright.
But I'll take any reinforcement to offense that's possible.
We are sitting in 6th spot.
The defense is quite stable. The success on offense is depending on just a few players Burkardt (injury prone), Nebel, Amiri and Lee.
The bench is too weak. Once the starters are tired we have no solution anymore to score goals.
If we'd get two more quality players on offense that can come in and produce for 30 minutes we could actually make the Champions League. I don't mind if those are loans or whatever. Just do whatever it takes to have 6 or 7 players who are good on offense (instead of just 4) and finish the season strong.
