He is going to be amazing. I don't understand the hate (I do but I won't derail the thread with nonsense as it rhymes with Zoo Zin Zee).

The funniest thing is - he's the closest prospect to LeBron, both in terms of level of advancement for such young age, style of play, athleticism and basketball IQ - that we've seen since 2003. Not as good athlete nor as good creator, but it is so rare to see forward showing that big two-way potential at such young age.

Not saying he's on the same level overall, Flagg is probably a tier below - but his ceiling is amazing, after today's game he's at 19-8-4 on 59TS% as a super young freshman, has All-NBA D Team potential easily, his target role is a point forward in the NBA. He's also at 81% FT and 34% from 3, so his shooting touch is definitely there. If you compare him to Tatum or Edwards, Cade or Banchero - he's easily a better college prospect.

Kid is the real deal.

Congratulations to whoever lands him.

Made todays game look effortless with that stat line at 18.

We wanna hear the assessment of the guy with the Oliver Kahn avatar. Since he is here after every bad/mediocre game, I'm sure he has a theory about this one as well, and the improving play.

I think he is really good but let’s not over react- I want the wiz to land him but this ain’t wemby

He took the record from this guy who put up 41 as a rookie and then lit the league up -

Good player but it’s a long way from Duke to The NBA ask Kam, Rj and Zion

He’s a can’t miss prospect. He has no weaknesses. I have never seen a child (he was a child up until a month ago) get to the rim whenever he wants at will.

Based on different teams needs, I don't think there is a lot of difference in the top 5 or 6 picks. If I had the first pick, I would pick Flagg and if he is not your guy, trade down for the player you feel can best help your team, plus ask for extra draft capital.

Wemby is like top3 prospects ever in the history of NBA: rarely someone holds Flagg to such high standards nor not being a Wemby-level prospect is any criticism.

He's top3 'perimeter' prospect since LeBron IMHO purely based on his HS/college career though. Then, you can include AD, Zion, Wemby and Oden as well in the mix. It may mean nothing - but up until this point he looks like a prize for one team that doesn't happen every year.

Banchero was a year older on the same uni and was selected 1st in the draft - and he was at least a tier worse prospect than CF. Tatum was almost 10 months older and Flagg is easily more impactful than Tatum was in his Duke years. People forget that Flagg reclassify to 2025 draft and if he had been selected in 2026, no one would notice age wise, he's over a year younger than Towns, Cade, Banchero, Simmons, he's even younger than Dwight and only a week older than LeBron who came to the NBA from high school. He's 9-11 months younger than Luka, Wemby, Davis or Kyrie as well in their draft years.

Again, it may be irrelevant to how Flagg career unfolds, you never know - but it's quite meaningful to what level a great prospect Flagg is.

I’ve been consistently upset at Blazers management for not trading away the vets. And now we only slated for about 6/7th worst record probably so we can milk extra 2nds from some team for Grant by being patient. Hopefully the basketball gods are on our side, but if we don’t get him after not legit trying to, I will remain pissed at this current management.

Sorry man I saw Banchero play in highschool and cooper Flagg- the difference is you wanted to drug test Banchero.. something was freakishly different - but he wasn’t tough- he seemed like a nice trying to fit in—- and thought maybe he ain’t got that “I’m the man” gene… but he does especially when he got Wags and a bunch of equally talented guys around him! Cooper seems good but do you think he will be a mvp candidate in the next 5 years - paolo will be in 3.

Im hoping the wiz get him but I don’t see the upside of Zion - I see more RJ than Zion or Paolo - which ain’t bad

Portland is definitely where I'd want him to go. That red, black, and white would look awesome on him. Not to mention, he and Clingan would be a hell of a building block for the future. Good back story too given their mothers played together.

Flagg with the generational performance. 42 piece. He will change the NBA landscape like no other player before him.

Gonna watch the full replay vs ND before commenting on Flagg's performance. On a side note posters here sure love sh*tting on Banchero even though he played incredible at Duke AND is a superstar in the making.

It doesn't mean Flagg will be a better NBA player than Banchero or Tatum nor it means Banchero or Tatum weren't great prospects, because they were -- but yeah, almost all metrics prove that Flagg is more impactful player on college-level than they were while being younger than both. Flagg literally is scoring more on better efficiency, with higher assists ratio and lower turnover %, all of that while being a significantly better defender. Unless he drops down his production - and I think it's unlikely considering his upward trajectory - these are facts.

Again, it's not equivalent to being a better NBA player, but it should put into perspective that almost none among one-and-done prospects is ready to run the offense on NBA level from the beginning. If someone believes that Flagg is RJ Barrett-level of prospect, then that's fine (he's not) - but the biggest misconception about Flagg is an assumption that other top perimeter (forward) prospects were much more offensively advanced at the same age. Well, besides 2-3 exceptions, they weren't, and again, Flagg is younger than almost all of them.

Flagg has size, athleticism, passing and shooting touch (>80 FT% for now) to be an elite offensive player. If he sustains these shooting splits (34% 3PT, 81% FT), then why there is a concern of him becoming at least a good shooter? At this point, he's so versatile that people underestimate his offensive ceiling.
