There is no such thing. If either the parents are rich the child is rich. It’s purely based off the wealth of the parents. It doesn’t matter who the guardian is. It can be grandma raising the kids. If either parent is a billionaire the child is a billionaire. The guardian gets to manage that wealth.

Right, it's on a sliding scale based on both parents' earnings. The thing that's wrong legally in these situations is that the custodial parent doesn't have to use any of that money on the children as long as he/she maintains the minimum standards for the children. It's kind of ****ed up that there isn't any kind of sliding scale for the minimum quality for the children being taken care of.

He’s obviously talking about Yakhouba Diawara

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Perhaps but it's overkill to say Duncan's shooting "fell apart". He had a sub-par season in 22-23, but last year he was basically at 40% and this year he is at 38%. No that is not the almost 45% he shot in 19-20, but you remove the highest and lowest years (outliers) and you have a guy who shoots ~38-40% on 3s.
The issue, imo, is not Robinson's shooting fell of; the issue is
1) the league has been filled with low-salary guys who can shoot the ball. The shooters who got big contracts -- significantly above the MLE at the time of the signing, so guys like Robinson (5-years, $90M), Kennard (4-years, $64M), Danny Green (2-years, $30M), Joe Harris (5-years, $75M), Grayson Allen (4-years, $70M), Malik Beasley (4-years, $60M) -- all could have been easily replaced by guys making significantly less on shorter contracts, so guys like Seth Curry, Max Strus, Alec Burks, Patty Mills, Pat Connaughton, Kevin Love, Avery Bradley, George Hill, Doug McDermott, Corey Kispert, Damian Lee, Sam Hauser....etc.
2) Good players are starting to shoot the 3 at almost as good of a clip as the "specialists" and they bring so much more to the table. Jokic is leading the league in 3-point shooting, Sabonis is 3rd, KAT is 6th, Jon Collins is 11th, and Vucevic is 18th, and Evan Mobley is 32nd. They're all above 40%.
Steph Curry and Tyler Herro are amongst the best shooters in the league. Curry is 35th and Herro is 46th in %.
To Robinson's credit, his game has evolved on offense and he does what he can on defense. That said, no one is going to pay him $90M again. He'll be lucky to get a multi-year deal on MLE money. I assume he'll end up getting a deal like Kennard (1-year, $9M), Malik Beasley (1-year, min in 23 and 1-year, $6M this year), or Gary Trent Jr (1-year, min) got. If he is lucky, someone will love him like OKC loved OKC loved Aaron Wiggins (4-years, $45M) and Isaiah Joe (4-years, $48M), the way Boston loved Sam Hauser (4-years, $45M), or Washington loved Corey Kispert (4-years $54M).

The biggest problem with Duncan is that he's never had nearly enough offense to make up for his defense.
Duncan is a very weird case. If you start him and run a bunch of plays to get him shots, he averages ~ 14 ppg (career high is actually 13.5). If you start him and don't run a bunch of plays to get him open looks, he averages ~ 12 ppg. And if you bring him off the bench, he averages 10 ppg. Pretty much no matter what you do, his average is going to fall in that 10 ppg to 14 ppg range.
I used to joke that it took a team-wide conspiracy to prop up Duncan's 13.5 ppg average.

That kind of depends. Are there 40 kids being supported?

Just sharing my chat with our old friend from the Blazers board:

I did!
Hope you enjoyed the game.
I really can't understand how can you have a lottery team for years upon years yet still have less young talent then a team that went to the conference finals 3 times in the last 5 and never tanked.
How is that even possible?
Is it the coaching? the front office? no fans? all of the above?
so weird.

Yeah, the issue is Robinson is neither a 3 & D guy and he's limited off the dribble. The best player I've seen with Duncan's limited skillset (more or less) has been JJ Redick, who was a better scorer than a guy like Kyle Korver. And neither was the punching bag Robinson is on defense while both were more prolific shooters than Robinson. The "next level" of these kinds of guys are the Mike Millers, Hedo Turkoglus, Dell Currys, Buddy Hields, Gary Trent Jrs....etc of the league.

Re: 2025 Regular Season Thread Vol. 4
So we're a few days away from an interesting decision. People are going to point to the competition on this winning streak but I'd counter that its hard to go streaking on a long road trip in this league, we're one late game collapse away from winning 4 in a row..we'll see how they close out (assuming these LA games are played).
I just dont see how they bring Jimmy back with the team next Friday. Dont get me wrong it would be great if he buys in for the rest of the season because there are players that look like they are hitting their stride, but it's clear to me that Jimmy is no longer willing or capable of going about his job professionally here. We have a local media that thrives on drama, first chance they get they are going to ask him if his feelings have changed and in true diva fashion he'll seize the moment to yet again make things uncomfortable for his teammates, and it's not fair to the guys that have been available, busting their asses to help this team win games. Definitely don't take a bad trade, but be prepared to send this guy home once he proves he cant get his act together. 21 days between the Denver game and the trade deadline, that's a lot of time for a malcontent to put on a show with Shams.

Re: 2025 Regular Season Thread Vol. 4
Tyler Herro: 62% TS, 118/114 ORTG DRTG
Nikola Jovic: 59% TS 119/111 ORTG DRTG
Jaime Jacquez: 52% TS 105/110 ORTG DRTG
Kel'el Ware: 65% TS 119/106 ORTG DRTG
I'm confident Jaime can turn it out around offensively (as evident during the past several games) after the slow start he has had to the season.
Herro is 24 (turning 25 in a couple of days), Jovic is 21, Jaime is 23, and Ware is just 20. Great foundational pieces to build with for the future.
3 years from now, assuming we add a whale in the 26' free agency, these core group of players along with Bam Adebayo could become serious contenders for the championship.

Still need to add that 1A type offensive star to put everyone in the right packing order.
Fox is my realistic hope
