Gave it my best shot. Sucks having to choose between Duncan/Kawhi.
The 4 all-star thing really hampered me honestly. Could have had Horford instead of Wemby.
Hardly any PG's between the Hawks/Spurs worth drafting too.
I am not sure how Wilkins will be viewed but he's an animal at scoring, and my best bet for category 2.

Tempted to take Melo for fun if I don't see a route.

I think you're missing a fourth Knick

KJ/Bell/Majerle/Durant/Ewing or just say screw it and go full 93 Suns with Barkley even if him and Ewing are an average fit?

I preferred the team you had earlier tbh.

A few months from now the Knicks would lave been a terrific choice for a Nash-led, spread PnR team with Bridges and Anunoby. As things stand right now, the available options feel like slim pickings.

There are too many good non MVP PGs with this group (Paul, Frazier, Brunson, KJ, etc.) to use Nash

The abundance of legit Lakers first options gets me confused. Each of Kobe LBJ Magic Kareem Shaq West is a legit option to build around and each dictate quite a different build.

Only guy I'm pretty sure that I'm taking is Rasheed since Billups Dumars are category 1. I considered Worthy but then remembered he's also category 1. My team has most category 1 guys who shouldn't be there lol.

That was a fun exercise

I explicitly stated him in the rules. You can use him in categories 2 and 3

You mentioned him, but I don't understand the rule. He was a ABA-MVP. Do ABA accolades count?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Only NBA seasons count towards the accolades restrictions. Gilmore's highest NBA honor is All NBA 2nd, so you can use him in category 3.

This was fun. Not sure what the potential is here but I wouldn’t mind more non-drafts sprinkled into the schedule.

Irony is I skipped the Donut Draft then ended up with a donut team in the next game anyway. I considered a more typical build but all typical builds felt underwhelming. Opted for Dallas Kyrie because he’s proven to be a much better off ball player than he showed in previous stops.

What was the dilemma? Whether to pair LBJ and Luka? Which version of Kyrie to use?

Torn between two builds:

Magic / Byron Scott
Rip / Scott
Prince / Horry
Davis / Horry
Rasheed / Salley

Cooper / LeBron
EJ / McKie
LeBron / Prince
Davis / Prince
Rasheed / Mahorn

Philly probably wasn't the ideal partner for Denver to complete a Jokic build. My initial thought for roddy's pair was that I might have passed on Jokic and try something around Murray-Butler-Melo-Wilt. This can also be the basis for a Jokic team, though Wilt could've covered better for Melo's (or English's) defensive issues.

Philly is tough in general for this exercise. Basically all their elite players are concentrated in Category 1, and their role player pool isn't amazing because most of their success came in the 80s and earlier.
