Can't complain about taking Barron there. It's definitely a need and he's awesome.

But given how Hafley's scheme prioritizes versatile DBs I'd take a long look at Nick Emmanwori.

I see Emmanwori has jumped into ESPN's top 20 after their latest update.

Not to continue to belabor the point that this is an incredibly bad class the Packers should be looking to deal out of, but ESPN's Miller listed his prospects with first round grades:

QB: None
RB: 1 (Jeanty)
WR: 3 (Hunter, Burden III, McMillan)
TE: 1 (Warren)
OT: 1 (Banks)
IOL: 0
Edge: 3 (Carter, Walker, M. Williams)
DT: 1 (Graham)
Linebacker: 0
Cornerback: 1 (Johnson)
Safety: 1 (Starks)

I'd probably take off Burden and put in Emmanwori.

But yea, 12.

I kind of like that Corner out of Ole Miss, Trey Amos. 6'1 press corner with good length and plays well in the run game. Could see him sliding into the 1st with a good combine, but he'd be a fun day 2 target.

I appreciate the draft class updates, especially since I have followed college ball less over the last few years. Without these updates and the inevitable adjustments that occur, I would have even less of a clue of who picked wisely and who reached. Without any Packer related context, the talking heads could tell me Barney Fife from the University of Mayberry is a great run-stuffing DT and I'd smile and nod.

RS are you hoping they trade out of the draft for the most part or just the first round?

If for some reason Mason Graham or Will Johnson fell to a range where they could trade up, that'd be my first choice. Use their first two day picks and get one of the few impact guys in this class. I like Malachi Starks too, even though he's listed as safety he could play in the slot.

Otherwise i'd be trading out and looking to get picks in '26 or even '27. Use middle and late round picks this year for depth. Hopefully by the time the draft rolls around they've signed or traded for multiple defensive backs and an edge rusher.

A lot to like with Azareye'h Thomas. Fluid corner with good change of direction at a big size. Plenty of experience and still only 20 years old. Someone to keep an eye on and I think could work as a press corner in Halfey's D.

(That Bears loss has already got me deep diving prospects :( )

New ESPN Mock:

1. Tennessee Titans (3-14) - Cam Ward, QB, Miami
2. Cleveland Browns (3-14) - Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
3. New York Giants (3-14) - Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado*
4. New England Patriots (4-13) - Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas*
5. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-13) - Will Johnson, CB, Michigan*
6. Las Vegas Raiders (4-13) - Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State*
7. New York Jets (5-12) - Mason Graham, DT, Michigan*
8. Carolina Panthers (5-12) - Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia*
9. New Orleans Saints (5-12) - Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona*
10. Chicago Bears (5-12) - Will Campbell, OT/G, LSU*
11. San Francisco 49ers (6-11) - Shemar Stewart, DL, Texas A&M*
12. Dallas Cowboys (7-10) - Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State*
13. Miami Dolphins (8-9) - Malaki Starks, S, Georgia*
14. Indianapolis Colts (8-9) - Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
15. Atlanta Falcons (8-9) - Jalon Walker, Edge/LB, Georgia*
16. Arizona Cardinals (8-9) - Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
17. Cincinnati Bengals (9-8) - James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee*
18. Seattle Seahawks (10-7) - Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon*
19. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-7) - Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina
20. Houston Texans (10-7) - Jonah Savaiinaea, OT/G, Arizona*
21. Denver Broncos (10-7) - Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri*
22. Los Angeles Rams (10-7) - Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan*
23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-7) - Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama*
24 - 24. Green Bay Packers (11-6) Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss
Cornerback has rocketed up the Packers' needs list. Jaire Alexander played only seven games this season because of injuries and Eric Stokes is a pending free agent. Amos could be the fix, as he knows when to adjust his eyes and find the ball in the air. He can play man but thrives in zone coverage, which fits perfectly in a Green Bay defense with the highest zone coverage rate (70.7%) in the NFL this season. Amos' 15 pass breakups were the second highest in the FBS, and he also intercepted three passes.

25. Los Angeles Chargers (11-6) - Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan*
26. Washington Commanders (12-5) - Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
27. Philadelphia Eagles (14-3) - Nic Scourton, Edge, Texas A&M*
28. Buffalo Bills (13-4) - Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon*
29. Minnesota Vikings (14-3) - Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss*
30. Baltimore Ravens (12-5) - Tyler Booker, G, Alabama*
31. Kansas City Chiefs (15-2) - Armand Membou, OT/G, Missouri*
32. Detroit Lions (15-2) - Mike Green, Edge, Marshall*

I'd go with Jahdae Brown at CB, or Nolan or Alfre Collins on the interior.

Jack Bech would be an intriguing replacement for Watson. Not as fast but more physical version. Similar to Watson, you can put him on the outside, but he can also play inline and from the slot. Smooth/soft hands and pretty good speed at 6'2, 215 pounds. Also, an excellent run blocker, which seems to be a prerequisite for playing WR in MLF's scheme.

Bit of a late bloomer though, and most of his production didn't come until his 4th year.

Savage, Stokes, Walker, Wyatt, Van Ness along with the most overpaid Edge in Gary and overpaid CB in Alexander in the NFL.

Can't wait to see Gutey's next late (or in Gary and Van Ness's case not late) first round defensive gem (or backup guard).

Well at least we will draft in front of Philly, Baltimore, Detroit, and Minnesota (barring trades) the four teams that always seem to steal the players I want.

I might to go the first round of the draft this year. Sure it's mostly standing around but it's pretty cool having it in GB. I think season ticket holders have a shot at some VIP seats so we'll see if I get those. Otherwise I may make a last minute decision depending on the weather. If I don't end up going no big deal.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Purely from a draft perspective it would be cool if Tampa could come back and win this one. Obviously we want Minnesota to lose tomorrow but it would have the added benefit of pushing up a draft spot. We'll pick as low as #24, and as high as #22.

Philly will either trade in front of us and take what the fans want or just wait and take what the fans want (Mitchell and Dejean)

Return to Green Bay Packers
