Josh isn't afraid of Jalen and Jalen is clearly about Jalen.

People looking at the players when the ego he's talking about is thibs'

Thibs
- stubborn in his philosophies, rotations, schemes
- thinks the game plan he laid out yesterday is clearly correct so he's adverse to adjusting it in any way
- psychological warfare against his own players trying to "mold" them into players he deems acceptable
- needs to protect his win % and "good coach" image so much that he plays starters 40+ mpg all season to squeak out a good record against the 23 mid teams in the league

A couple of times down the floor against the Bucks, Mikal got himself wide open but Brunson just ignores him and takes a shot. Josh did it one time too

I'd guess it could be about the 2 guys who struggled the most recently, Mikal and OG. This is 100% fantasy conjecture.

Maybe Mikal keeps trying to force bad hurried 3 pointers on offense because he wants to secure the bag next summer and justify a max extension, by being featured a lot on the offense.

Maybe OG refuses to sit out games while he's been obviously dimminished for a while now, to make sure he plays enough games to qualify for All-Defense teams, maybe he has a contract incentive on it.

Can yall explain this one

Do they have agendas other than doing whatever best features Brunson and makes him look like a superstar?

No. That’s the problem. Brunson’s scoring needs to go down and his assists up. Making his teammates better should be his priority.

Btw, I’m against family on the bench.

His scoring dropped his assists have gone up. So this is absurd.

it is utterly ridiculous to think egos, agendas, and sacrifice is referring to the coach and not players on the court failing to play team ball lol. i'm not saying this as a defense of thibs this take is just 100% projection imo

It's Brunson first and foremost. Maybe bleeding over into Mikal. But the comments came after bad and selfish Brunson performances.

Maybe. How come right after the comments Bridges actively stopped trying to shoot the ball? He wasn't even looking at the hoop. Seems like something is there.

Obviously, the Anti-Brunson league wants it to be Brunson, because Brunson isn't John Stockton.

It's ridiculous to really think it is anything more than a generic statement directed at the team overall. Play better and you win. Period. People trying to pin this on any one single person are being silly. Ever think he was talking about himself as well?

yup, i agree that it's more of a general postgame sports-speak PR quote. i'm just saying who it could be directed towards if anybody, and that thinking it's about any coach is hopeful projection

It's pure speculation at this point, but i absolutely did notice that Mikal was not looking to score yesterday and he got looked off on a wide open play during one sequence which was just weird.

I don't buy it at all that Josh was talking about the coach.

Either way, I agree with Josh regardless of who he is talking about. Egos and agendas need to be left at home and if someone is putting their own personal success over the team, and I don't care if it's Mikal or not, they need to get their act together immediately because this isn't about one person.

Lock in and work. If winning a title isn't everyone's agenda, they can leave. Period.

Thinking it is about anyone is hopeful projection. It's a generic statement that could be applied to any losing team. HC to the last man on the court. Uninformed opinions about who it is directed towards are nothing more than that. Thibs is an arrogant coach. JB/Hart or both arrogant on different levels. Maybe he was talking about all three. Himself included. Who cares?

We are 26-14. Nothing to see here.
