Per Ethan Sands, Ty Jerome is OUT for tonight’s contest with an illness.

Don't have much to takeaway from this game other than that was some ugly ball

Got a ton of open three point opportunities and seemed Pacers were selling out there and we just couldn't hit them

I assume Tuesday against them will be another L, similar to when we dropped back to back games against the Hawks earlier in the season.

Hali got hurt, so i thought we might pull this one out.

Role players were 4/23 from 3. Team was 11/40.

Wade, Okoro, LeVert, and Strus played approximately 20 minutes each and combined for 11 points.

Our starters didn't look particularly good either, except when they were all out there together. I felt like this was definitely a game where maybe they could've been out there together more.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

They were a lot better without Hali. I suspect his hamstring hasn't been 100% all season.

Yeah, probably wasn't fully healthy.

We'll see if Kenny makes any adjustments but he didn't against the Hawks back in November, so we'll see.

You don't want to overreact to a single game. Every team in history has bad shooting nights. Even the Warriors with Durant lost regular season games. That said, not having a credible backup center really forces whoever coaches the team to stagger our starters more than is ideal in every matchup.

Jerome allows you to run backcourts off the bench that allow both Mitchell and Garland to rest, but we just don't have the bigs to rest both Allen and Mobley at the same time. That Niang and Wade unit isn't stopping anyone.

That funky Wade/Niang lineup was +5 in the 2nd quarter and helped kick start the team to close out the quarter strong. Kenny didn't bother to try it again in the second half.

Kenny could have tagged CPJ to replace Jerome, but he hasn't had much burn lately. It also seems like whenever one of our players gets hurt or gets sick, it takes them a couple of games to find their shot again (ex: Okoro and Merrill).

Unless CPJ has gotten a lot better against full court press, the second half of this game was not the game to sub him in. As far as the Niang/Wade lineup, Niang was picking up fouls at a rate that would have had him foul out before the half.

I'd feel better if we traded for a guy like Boucher or Richards so that we could keep Allen and Mobley on the court together against certain matchups. Every team has off shooting nights, but you don't want to have to effectively concede a game in the playoffs because you're living by the 3 point shot. The Pacers didn't have 4 guys with one foot in the paint tonight.
