Every time he dribbles the ball he gets into trouble lately. I think Peterson selected the worst dribbler in the draft. The only way to make up for it is to draft the best dribbler in 2025.

Dylan Harper.

Hornets bench lost this game. We really have a dysfunctional offense without the bench scoring running through Tre Mann because Tre creates shots for himself and others.

The 4 core players in the starting lineup (excluding Josh Green) looked good. Their biggest issue was LaMelo's shot selection.

But they showed they can play competitive against teams with stars when everyone is healthy.

Nick Smith Jr. didn't hit his shots in the midrange but he did go 2-4 from 3 and doesn't look overmatched. He had 2 really bad turnovers. The game started to turn on his first one - a lazy pass. He led the bench with 8 points but needed 10 shots. Is he ever going to hit those point blank midrange shots? It would make him more valuable because he just can't get to the rim.

No Diabaté tonight.

Hopefully if we’re lucky enough to draft 2nd we land Harper.

felt like Phoenix could do want they want to defend the paint in the last quarter. Miller and Williams copped plenty of contact for no calls.

still need to find an easy way to score which isn't a circus 3

Hell no. But I like his fit on offense a touch better than Flagg. We are nothing when a defense takes the ball out of LaMelo's hands. We need 2 primary playmakers like the Cavs if we want to unlock LaMelo and kick up a level.

I have it Harper - Flagg - Jakucionis

One guy being able to consistently drive and kick without turning it over or getting shoved around would help our offense a ton. Mark's nifty kick out to Brandon this game got me realy hyped cause of that.

I think Miles was suppose to be our drive and kick guy, but all that lean probably took a hit to his athleticism.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

The team needs a PG bad bad

Melo needs moved to the two so bad comes out of his hands more at the start of the shot clock to avoid the random bombs.

Someone like a Young Rondo would make a world of difference

Which is why Harper makes so much sense.

Even Flagg would help being a secondary playmaker. It's clear we need another ball handler in the starting lineup. Melo is asked to do too much.

That fourth quarter was pathetic every player on the roster, the coaching and the referees.

The sun's changed their game plan on Mark Williams who ended up with two points and three rebounds in the second half and completely taken out of the game.

Melo throwing up his usual garbage three pointers

The entire defense just falling asleep numerous times. The team having no idea headed double and help and rotate.

How many very winnable games this year have we completely pissed away in the 4th quarter this year? At least 10? At some point these guys need to learn how to win.

I've been assured that next year is when they're going to flip that magical switch and everything will fall into place with them suddenly becoming a competent organization

Another game where Hornets messed around while they were up 9 points, couldn't put a team away and let them hang around. This time KD got hot down the stretch and that was all she wrote.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
