Not gonna lie, the question is motivated by a dynasty league, but I have kept him for +1 year now, and it aint looking too bright I think, but I do see flashes of a pretty good combo guard. Whats the verdict? I hoped he would prove good enough to get "the keys", and I still hope so..

The front office seems to be high on him. Fans are divided. Some (myself included) see him as a Jordan Clarkson type, others see him as Jamal Murray. He does show flashes of being really good down the line but he also has many inefficient outings. Really hard to say for sure how he'll end up but he does seem to have a good head on his shoulders.

I think he's going to settle into the role and usage of a guy like Tyler Herro. He should be a 20 ppg guy, but he's being forced into a point guard role that he's not really suited for. Another comp might be Anfernee Simons.

Tyler Herro is a very good player these days, so thats pretty good IMO. Recently I have been liking what I have seen from him...

I think Anfernee Simons is a good comp for Keyonte. He's been playing much better lately with less on his plate. I'm still not sure a Simons type is a guy I want as a high paid starter on my team though. The Blazer fans want him traded but alot of that has to do with his starter level salary, $26mil per season, and the fact they want their younger guards Scoot and Sharpe to get those minutes.

My opinion on Keyonte will depend entirely on what his second contract is. Right now to me it should be in the JC/Sexton range. If he’s paid like your 6-7 bast player and slots in accordingly I think he’ll be successful. If he’s treated like a star I think he’ll be disappointing. Unless he suddenly learns to shoot for real.

Any love for Sensa?

It's really nice to see the Sensei perform well, especially since his rookie season wasn't all that great. It seems like the game slowed down for him a bit and that he learned how to score in the NBA.

Also worth noting: Kessler averages 4 minutes per game less than Gobert (29.6 vs 33.6 minutes).

Yeah I don't get it either. He's also the best offensive rebounder in the league.

Two ships going opposite directions passing in the night? Kessler has him on PER too, 20.6 to 15.2. I love our ex Jazz players, but after Gobert and Conley had good seasons last season, it is nice to see them and unplayable Ingles starting to work in the Jazz' favor again!

Right. Now imagine if the Jazz kept that core and didn't make the trades. How screwed would they be now?

Probably the most important stretch of games in the entire season is coming up after the Phoenix game:

Jan 13 vs Brooklyn
Jan 16 vs Charlotte
Jan 18 @ New Orleans
Jan 21 @ New Orleans
Jan 23 @ Oklahoma City
Jan 24 vs Washington

There is another stretch of games later in the season that will have consequences on the tank, but this is the big one. Hope the Jazz will do the smart thing.

Ainge and crew did their best to send a losing squad to the Brooklyn game and we still came away with a W. Not a good start to this stretch. But nice to see Hardy can coach and the young guys playing decent enough to beat another tanking team.

If all we can get for Sexton, Collins, Clarkson, amd Eubanks is second round draft picks I hope Ainge trades with the Suns, Kings, or Warriors so they can hopefully move up in the standings and push the Wolves down. They are all neck and neck right now.
Hopefully Sacramento keeps their current play going as well.

Thank the lord we’re finally tanking properly. Was a little worried earlier in the season. But it looks like Ainge and crew are finally doing it right.

The Jazz need to be vigilant because after the trade deadline and in the second half of the season more teams will start tanking.

So the Jazz end up with KJ Martin and 5 second round picks.

Schroder was traded to the Pistons and the Jazz then waived Richardson and Jalen Hood-Schifino.

All in all, really solid work by the front office on the margins of the roster. But it's up to them now to make sure that keeping players like Clarkson, Collins and Sexton won't hurt the tank.

A day ago it looked like the Wizards were reinforcing their tank but they since made some moves that might actually make them more competitive. On the other hand, the Pelicans and Hornets look like they got worse.

We will probably see a lot DNP-CDs or phantom injuries.
