Bro the lions are suseptable to some 2 minute black voodoo magic. Our boy Jayden has that it in crunch time. If they can keep it from running away. There is a chance. Can you imagine winning the Superbowl. And boom 100 million in cap room .

I won't be terribly shocked if the Commanders are favored against Detroit.

(EDITED: Detroit -8.5 is the spread)

Lattimore was getting smoked lol. His pride might have ended up losing us the game if we hadn't eventually switched up the coverage on Evans.

I was about to be so embarrassed if we hadn't gotten that 4th down touchdown after the fumble. And the Zane Gonzalez nervous tic was crazyyyyyyyy combined with the doink.

I saw London Fletcher at a Zards game last week. Told him that his TD calls have been going viral. He got a big laugh out of it.

Lattimore had a bad game but to be fair Evans had two OPis not called on him. House money at this point next weekend and 100 mil to spend in the offseason. Future is so bright.

I don't blame Lattimore too much. Coming back from a hammy that soon, and being asked to play the most athletic position on the field against a HOF WR is asking him to do too much, even if he wanted it.

The only thing I have an actual quibble about was Kingsbury calling 4 straight plays from shotgun when it was 1st and goal from the 1. And we were only there because of a PI call, the offense was NOT generating yards at that point.

Luckily the bucs OC called a risky play on their part with the jet sweep, and also there are definitely issues with the bucs C (a rookie i believe?) and the QB exchange that messed up that jet sweep and also the TFL the next series.

jaden gave me a heart attack on that last first down before the FG. He was too nonchalant on the play action and almost got sacked but for his incredible stiffarm.

I'm a homer, but there was never any chance the Commanders would be favored against Detroit lol. The question would have been if it was a double digit spread. It's not, wouldn't be shocked if it came down to a touchdown favorite for Detroit at the end of it. I actually think we have a puncher's chance against them. Their defense is a mash unit at this point so we'll see. It just wouldn't shock me if we won.

Looking at the teams that are left, they have stars that aren't QBs. A lot of them. We don't have a star on the o line or d line. Everyone else does. We're here because 5 is that dude. Going forward we will have the best QB in the conference and it will be up to Peters to upgrade the roster enough to make us contenders.

Detroit's roster is so much better than ours it's ridiculous. The only reason we might have a chance is all the injuries they have on defense.

Their drafts in 2022-2024 were ridiculous. Hutchinson, Williams, Joseph in 2022. Gibbs, Campbell, LaPorta, and Branch in 2023. Arnold in 2024. They built through the draft, got the QB and turned it around. I think Peters and co expected improvement this year, i.e. 6-7 wins with the expectation that it's going to take another round of draft picks and free agency to shore up this team. But we're probably a year ahead of schedule, so the pressure will be on them to improve the team. We're playing the NFC North and AFC West next season, we need upgrades at just about every position except QB.

Typing this from Tampa as we speak....Commanders fans straight up took over that stadium. Bucs fans were completely outnumbered in our section lol.

And the hate for Lattimore is ridiculous. Y'all are some haters. That dude is fighting a bad hamstring while having to cover a first ballot hoffer. Quit your belly aching.

Evans only had 2 catches for like 26 yards in the 2nd half. I wasn't paying attention but was Lattimore on him in the 2nd half?

oof. yeah expect a regression in wins and stats next season, playing those two divisions, and being in the NFC East, definitely the most competitive three conferences in the league.

With Hutchinson out that evens the scales quite a bit as far as the defensive line. Especially with Jonathan Allen returning back to the lineup who has made the pro bowl twice in his career- so has Payne who has made it twice. Fowler/Armstrong have more sacks than anyone that the Lions are going to be putting out there- while Payne has as many sacks as Zadarius Smith.

Lions offensive line is significantly better lead by Sewell although the Commanders do have a couple good offensive linemen Cosmi is also arguably a pro bowl caliber player. Tyler Biadasz is also arguably a pro caliber player who made it in 2023 (saw fans on Reddit were upset that he didn't make a pro bowl). Jayden Daniels is a cheat code though so at least that evens it out.

But yeah the Lions are simply deeper they have 7 pro bowlers and 11 pro bowl alternates. :o

My biggest concerns
- Lions have the better running game with Montgomery/Gibbs (I like Ekeler but if Robinson is the one who has been playing like garbage lately, had some big holes but I believe his longest rush was 6 yards)
- Lions have the better kicker (1 of the pro bowl alternates)
- Homefield advantage/crowd noise in an indoor stadium (although the indoor stadium could be ideal for Daniels to have a big game)

It does feel like Washington is playing with found money though so they do have a good chance to keep building on the momentum.

I don't take back anything I said before the game. I have no faith in him. He's been in decline for some time.

This reminds me of Gilbert Arenas first injury. He essentially forced his way into a new contract while injured. I said the guy is injured. He's renegotiating because he knows he's hurt. Nobody agreed with me.

I have no skin in the game when it comes to personally bashing Marshon Lattimore or any of his achievements. My entire point is that he's got chronic hamstring issues.

I recall the end of Rod Strickland's effective NBA days. Same thing.

I maintain that the Commanders blundered big time trading for an injured player.
