Prime Jordan?

Yes, I am not saying he is Prime Jordan or his play will translate in the playoffs but currently in the last 40 games or so. He has been Prime Jordan. We have not seen 2 way dominance like this from a guard since Jordan. Physically, similar. Stats are similar, 2 way impact is similar, Game is similar. Only thing Jordan really did was play more minutes. The biggest thing is the motor is similar. He is the second best offensive player while being a top 3-5 guard defensively.

To be clear you think current SGA is roughly on the same level as 1988-1993 Jordan?

His defense is no where near as good as prime Jordan nor is his shot making. You are talking about prime Jordan

Yes Prime Jordan in the regular season, Jordan wasn't really Jordan for what he did in the regular seasons. I disagree, I think SGA is comparable to Jordan defensively, but Yes Jordan was better. I think SGA is playing Jordan-like on a per-minute basis. I am not saying this season SGA is better than Jordan but he is definitely comparable. The impressive part with Jordan is he did it for 40minutes a game.

Yes on a per minute basis, SGA is roughly similar to Jordan REGULAR SEASON, offensively at least. Defensively, there is a gap, but they are comparable.

Different eras defense was different during his prime. It was harder to score back than it is today. So no SGA,even in the regular season, was not the same as Jordan offensively and close to Jordan defensively

prime Jordan often guarded the opponent's best wing..SGA does that almost never. you can't be the 3rd best defensive guard in the NBA if ur guarding the opponent's 3rd option, that's a ridicilous notion imo

Wait if it is was harder to score, wouldn't be harder to score wouldn't it be easier to defend? Yes the offensive environment is different, but Also SGA is still MORE efficient this season using TS+ than Jordan. I don't buy the argument Jordan was defensively not Comparable to SGA, better sure. Not Comparable, not sure. Now if your argument is Jordan is better because he played that level of defense for 4-6minutes extra a game. Then sure. But on per minute basis, I don't seem them as worlds apart.

The difference was that Jordan guarded the best guard on the team. Also harder when playing more minutes. Jordan guarded the best player more often than SGA has.

SGA is the most overrated defender in the NBA.

Not worth much as far as stats go but interesting nonetheless.
