How is Butler coming back with all this out? It’s as if we are goading him into another suspension so Micky can save more on the tax lol.

Thomas Bryant has made him expendable

Crazy how good Bryant is balling there

Personally that was my main goal coming into this season, how could we save a billionaire some money. Now we’re doing it. This season is a success for me

It's telling how he's not taking issue with the veracity of the reports...

Benefit of defending a player's image is lost when the player takes a position against the organization. Maybe these stories weren't out there previously because Jimmy benefitted from the organization's ability to protect his image. Can't have it both ways.

Is Fat Erny worried about the Heat's return now? Or is he worried about Jimmy getting outflanked in this game of chicken?

And I really dont have a problem if Miami decides to bust his balls as hard as they need to via media. If Butler wants to play those type of games, then Miami can too.

Does it hurt us moving forward with other mercs? Maybe, thats another reason I say build thru the draft. You cultivate the right type of player and culture.

I have a hard time believing Miami is leaking this info today, this is something you leak post trade if you want to be petty

Jimmy’s Dirty Laundry Tracker:

Hardaway Sr reveals Jimmy’s stomach bug was bull crap when he was actually at Prime 112 partying and clubbing

Jimmy doesn’t go to shootarounds, stays at separate hotels, and flys separately from the team requesting private planes

His own best friend Kyle Lowrey grew tired of his antics

Max freaking Strus who we got out of the scrap heap, had to keep Jimmy’s emotions in check, and Jimmy was pissed when we didn’t resign him?

Just messy lol

Whiteside once put on a show on the road against the clippers and it was sort of a coming out party for him as a member of the Heat.

Wareside tonight?

Heat are 8-7 this season without Butler.

Thats pretty much our same winning percentage this year overall.

Keep growing roles for Jaime and Niko and whomever else.

That erny guy is amongst the various delusional fans that think Butler would have net us anything of value.

He is 35 years old, with high mileage, barely has legs underneath him, has lost several steps, with another 52 million remaining, has missed 20-30 games a season since his second year in Miami..

And he wants a max contract extension which would start when he turns 37 years old and end when he is 39 or 40 depending on the years.

Even if a team like the nuggets were to call, the nuggets or any other twam are not going to extend him, they want a year or 2 rental out of him. Theyre not going to handicap their salary cap for years to come.

What can we get for Butler? Some expirings, maybe a protected first, which if we dont add another player next offseason we will have a max slot to add onto the team in the 2026 offseason.

It dont matter what the Heat leaks about Butler’s behavior, it’s actually a good thing they did because now the rest of the league knows there is legitimate reasoning behind suspending him, not just bitterness. There are consequences when you act a fool, you have a contract that gets you 48 million, with a 52 million option.. you need to be a professional and show up just like the guy making minimum does. Youre getting paid as the franchise player, as the leader of the team and youre not acting like one. Youre missing shootaround, practice and alienating yourself.

Im looking at the NFL and Jamarr Chase had every reason to hold out the season, playing on a the final year of his contract. What does he do instead? He says im under contract, im going to show up and play. He ends up recording the wide receiver triple crown for catches, yards and touchdowns. Now they are forced to pay him a contract we have never seen given to a wide receiver before. And they will.

Thats what a leader of Butler’s status should have done. He should hqve came in the season, with his years remaining, and show why he is still that guy. Instead he failed the franchise, his teammates and the fans.

So bye.

I mean, I love the idea of him having a big game today, but could we please shoot higher than Whiteside? Pretty please!

Perhaps Erny should consider the side of logic where Miami doing this (as he infers) can only mean they have nothing to lose. If they thought they could influence a better return, then they wouldn't, so this really shows that there is already nothing out there, and any nuclear option makes no difference.

The only thing left to do is tell your side of the story.

Miami does have something to lose. If Butler were to just opt in for next year Miami may have to get rid of some assets to get out of the tax. Once July 1st comes around, Miami can't just move Butler for expiring contracts to get under the tax, they'll have to lose in trades or flat out give up assets to send contracts out to get under the tax.
